The journey up with it's panoramic view is certainly worth it. Quite interesting walking down to the bob sled run itself.

We hiked up toward Mt Trebevic from Bistrik intending to summit the mountain. After a one hour steep assent through the beautiful hillside neighbourhoods we traversed the last few hundred metres through forest to approach the lower part of the luge track! There was nobody...More

We walked to the bob sled track by following the red and white trail markers that start at the base of Iza Gaya street (about 500m North of cable car station). It is mostly steep road and a little way of rocky and dirt trail,...More

During the siege of Sarajevo in the 1990's, artillery, tanks and snipers operated from the hills around the bobsled tracks to indiscriminately bombard the city of Sarajevo. The tracks are now lost in nearby forest growth and graffiti. There is one curved area of the...More

I was not expecting to find what we did when visiting here. Well worthy the walk from the top down, taking your time to take it all in. Some great views of the city whilst up here.

Recommend you walk the entire Bobsled Run, still has holes from where snipers would fire down into the city. One of the best attraction in Sarajevo, gives you a better understanding of what it must have been like when the city was under siege.

I loved doing this! There are two ways to get here, first, a really treacherous road that google maps took us on (don’t go this way, it’s through the old town) and second a really nice and easy highway road which we took back. We...More

Interesting to suddenly see the remains on the track, all covered in graffiti, emerge from the forest and often ridden with bullet from the 92-95 Bosnian war. So sad to imagine just 8 years before athletes were competing peacefully here and that the money and...More

Do not, under any circumstances, attempt to drive to this location. The roads are the steepest and most treacherous I’ve ever encountered and I’ve been to over 70 countries. After an hour of trying to find a way up, I finally gave up. Google maps...More

Since April 2018 the new cable car is in operation so I decided to go up the hill. The view from the hill is impressive. If you consider how the world watched the Eastern Germany Bob sleigh teams win the Gold and silver medal here...More

Try "Insider Sarajevo" tours. It is much safer than going on your own because people are sometimes robbed at knife point up there.
