Some museums can be a little sterile and have a lack of anything spectacular. However, sometimes they are still worth it for a few special things. This is one of them.....if you're really into history. Pro tip: Head inside while the walking tour groups are...More

Small and a fairly small amount of actual content, but it's a very interesting and important part of both world and BiH history so not a bad way to spend half an hour - only 4BM/2 Euro entry fee so not the end of the...More

All you need to see is displayed on the video screen in the window outside. Photograph the plaque on the wall, view the bridge and that's it. Disappointing given the magnitude of what took place at this location.

This tiny wee minute small museum is located on the corner of the street where the Archduke Ferdinand and Sofia were assassinated on 28 June 1914. Their deaths sparked WW1 and the end of the Austro-Hungarian Empire. An interesting 10 minutes for an entry fee...More

This is where the war started! How greed has made people lost their humanity. It is at the opposite of the Latin Bridge.

Muzej Sarajevo is a small gem. One of its main features is that it is at the site of the assassination of Archduke Ferdinand. This alone makes it a must see in my book. Frankly I am surprised that it doesn't have a certificate of...More

This is a small museum at the corner where Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria was assassinated in 1914 and houses many items relating to the Austrian time in Bosnia and the assassination. There are a couple of short movies well worth watching. It is pretty...More

I wanted to visit this museum more than anything. It's where everything started back in 1912 and brought all catastrophes to the whole planet. I stood exactly where the assassination took place and wondered: did Gavrilo Princip know that he will make history? what a...More

This was only a small museum-just one room but only costs €2. It is right next to the plaque of the site where Franz Ferdinand was assassinated. It has lifesize models of Franz Ferdinand and his wife Sophie and the museum gives you lots of...More
