This place testifies the tolerance of Muslim Bosnia and Ottoman Turks, who have accepted persecuted Jews from all of the Christian Europe and settled them in Sarajevo, Thessaloniki and other cities.

Interesting and well presented collection of Jewish documents, photographs and religious materials. Helps to have a guide who can point out and explain the various items and their historical significance. Highly recommended.

The Jewish Museum is small but crammed with lots of interesting and informative material and artifacts. There is also a video of the Jews of sarajevo and the Hagada.

Very limited exhibition, but interesting for those who want to learn about Jewish life in Sarajevo. The person selling the tickets was friendly and helpful.

The city is full of cathedrals and mosquees but less Jewish things. Very informative museum, small but worth it to have a quick overlook in complement with the other religious touristic places of the old town.

This is a beautiful building which attests to the success of the Jewish community before WWII. The pictures along the walls showing the history is also interesting. If you have an opportunity talk to the Jewish community representative in the museum about his family and...More
