As a Museum Director, I appreciated the content and the impact of the displays. The Museum tells the story of the Jews of Sarajevo through costumes, artifacts and photos.

It was a fine thing to learn about history of Jews in Balkans (I'm a little of history buff), not because one of my team mates are Jew, but to learn of less known past of some beautiful people.

Kept in an fascinating historical building, the museum represents stories of prominent Jewish individuals in Bosnian context and gives an overview of some general historical chapters on European scale. What was perhaps missing and would be a good addition, would be some more systematic information...More

This place testifies the tolerance of Muslim Bosnia and Ottoman Turks, who have accepted persecuted Jews from all of the Christian Europe and settled them in Sarajevo, Thessaloniki and other cities.

Interesting and well presented collection of Jewish documents, photographs and religious materials. Helps to have a guide who can point out and explain the various items and their historical significance. Highly recommended.

Museum worth some hours. The video of one woman's family history showed us the interconnectedness of all the religions living together for centuries under Ottoman rule. A shorter video of the saving of the Sarajevo Haggadah during the Siege of Sarajevo in the 1990s shows...More

The Jewish Museum is small but crammed with lots of interesting and informative material and artifacts. There is also a video of the Jews of sarajevo and the Hagada.

Very limited exhibition, but interesting for those who want to learn about Jewish life in Sarajevo. The person selling the tickets was friendly and helpful.

The city is full of cathedrals and mosquees but less Jewish things. Very informative museum, small but worth it to have a quick overlook in complement with the other religious touristic places of the old town.
