He is the local hero who opposed the Ottoman empire. The locals are proud of him.The main square area is a good place to hangout during day or evenings.

Take time to get insight into the history of this commander. His name I think is from the Ottoman Empire but he is a real legend in this country and rightly so. Do your research first ........

A central statue and impressive. Need to learn more about historical relevance. Lots of develop here in Tirana come back in a few years. Youth will do what is needed.

The square was decked out with Christmas stalls, so we weren't seeing it at a typical time, but it was colourful and fun. Museum with a huge frieze (main character is Mother Albania) dominates one side.

It's a nice statue, actually. Not so high as some others on the Balkan, but nicely made on some nice stones.

Just another European man-on-a-horse statue unless you grab a local guide to teach you some history of Skanderbeg and the square he stands in. If you're there in December, this statue will be surrounded by the Christmas market and fair.

Love the statue and it is placed right in the centre of the skanderbeg square. It is beautiful and should be visited if you are near the square

This statue is there from almost 50 years. At these point of city you can go everywhere.visit Tirana

It was a nice statue at the centre of Tirana. History all around it. Great square and the atmosphere in Christmas was beautiful
