    Small mosque opposite the square
This mosque is opposite Skanderbeg square and in front of the van that's sells traditional Albanian wear. The mosque us beautiful when lit up at nights and of course you can hear the call to prayer at different times throughout the day. If you intend to enter you mist remove your shoes and women cover your head with a scarf. Because it's small , you can see everything in less than 30 minutes.

    It’s OK to see
Small mosque located of main square area, visually from outside great and photos look really good, once inside not the best but ok. Historical Mosque for city that is very popular for tourist to see. Tower next door is really nice to see and photograph.

    Beautifully restored mosque
This is one of the few really old buildings still surviving in Tirana. It was badly damaged in the civil war which erupted in 1944 but the minaret was rebuilt and it received extensive renovation in 2019 including extensive wall paintings. Entrance is allowed outside of prayer times and photos are allowed. Scarfs are provided for ladies to cover their head and shoulders. Only quite small, a visit will not take much more than 10 minutes.

    Attractive welcoming mosque
According to their brochure onstruction began in 1791 or 1794 and wasn't completed until 1829 or 1821. It ceased functioning as a mosque during Communist times until in 1991 10,000 people forced their way inside. Colorful frescos decorate it.

A small mosque in the south east corner of Skanderberg Square. You must remove shoes before entering, and ladies need to wear a head scarf and once inside, it is small, and can be done in 10/15 minutes. Makes a good picture and looks nice when lit up at night.

Small but worth to visit. Nice decoration and in the center of Tirana. The walls inside with a lot of pictures that seems to be in the years of her past

Beautifully decorated & worth a visit. Bring a scarf & be prepared to remove shoes (as with all mosques).

Most probably completed in 1820 during Ottoman rule, this small mosque has been an object of controversy for a long time. During the communist period is was closed, not just for reasons of curbing religious influence, but also because the building was initiated by a family of jannisary who were considered collaborators with the Ottoman sultan. Haxhi Ethem bey after who the mosque was named was a great grandson of Sulejman Pasha, an ethnic Albanian general in the Ottoman army. In the decorative work inside the mosque you can see the linkage with Istanbul as a religious and political center is still clearly visible.

It is a small and old mosque. It is located on Skanderbeg, which is the center of the city. There is no ticket to enter. There is a charity box if you want to give donations.
