This is a beach right next to backpacker hostels - close to the airport. When I was there, it was right after cyclone and was expected another one to hit. The water was murky, beach was poorly managed - a lot of garbages, fallen trees,...More

Wailoaloa Beach is a good place to spend some leisure time. There is usually a game of volleyball or soccer going on. The locals are very friendly and will encourage you to join in. Aquatics activities are available and are often free/included. if you are...More

You can stroll along the beach. There are horses to rent, little bit of riding is also possible. South end is open beach and there you have to watch your feet, lot's of glass, broken beer bottles and so on. Water is warm, clear and...More

Quiet beach. Definitely wouldn't swim there. The beach was littered with rubbish and broken glass. Though further up, far from the airport end is ok. Great for sunset

The beaches are beautiful and the sand amazing. It is swimmable, but the water is not the clear blue like other areas. The coral from the bay was harvested for the airport years ago and so the bottom of the bay has silt that is...More

While most tourists plague the white sandy beaches on the more exotic islands, Waoloaloa has its on vast strecthing beach that never seems to have many people on it, and while it may look less quality than other in photoshopped pictures, its as nice as...More

I stayed at a hostel which was right on the Wailoaloa Beach. Wailoaloa is a decent beach, with lots of hostel owned restaurants on it. The beach turns into a party place during evening. The sunsets at Wailoaloa Beach are amazing though!
