Was only here for a few hours but really enjoyed it. Lots to see and do. Would like to go back and stay on the island for a bit. Very beautiful and handy to everything.

The beach is extremely overrated (next to no sand, murky water, big waves and stinky) and is absolutely not the mental picture of Fijian beaches that we had in our head. Glad we had 4 days in the Coral Coast at the Shangri-La before we...More

Denarau island has a lot of resorts, restaurants, water activities, bars, and many more. The sunset here is extremely beautiful.

The whole of the Denarau area has a beach of fine white sand, about 5-10 metres wide, going down to a usually flat sea with water temperature in the twenties. The beach fronting the various hotels is really the icing on the cake.

Make sure you work out the fare with the taxi driver before getting in the taxi - the fare will never be the same and often double for the same distance travelled.
