Definitely worth a visit. Try to get there first thing in the morning - the sunrise is amazing and it's nice to see the site with fewer people in it.

It is as beautiful as you expect but so vast. Beyond imagination. The buses are nice and safe. The tour guides are very knowledgeable and it was great to have all the information they provide. The snack bar is a nice break in between visits....More

Machu Picchu is definitely worth being on my bucket list. We did a G Adventures tour and got to spend two days there. The first day we got off the train at 104 km and hiked the one day Inka Trail. It was definitely difficult....More

It has taken me a while to write this review but that is not because it wasn't one of the most spectacular sites I have every visited. I think Machu Picchu has been on my bucket list since I was 10 years old. To walk...More

It was on my bucket list for a long time and I finally made it. The other reviews reveal pretty much everything you need to know but for me personally it's just fascinating how clever people were at the time. I bet if the Spanish...More

By most the greatest experience of a lifetime. Well worth the trip up the mountain. You can imagine the time they left. It must have been initiated immediately as the guy's who were making the stone blocks left them half finished & you can see...More

How to reach - If You're coming from Cusco, you can either take a bus, private taxi or a shared cab. Shared cab is a better option. Ask any taxi fellow to drop you to the bus stand, next to the bus stand you will see...More

Yes, Machu Picchu will be full of tourists but it is a must see. We stayed the night in Aguas Caliente and made line for the bus at 4am. The line was already long but once the buses got there, the line moved quick. Machu...More

This site is amazing. You could truly spend all day exploring this place. Get a guide. We hiked the Inca Trail so our guide stayed with us to tour the site. If you are not hiking and planning to take the train, you will want...More

Even better than the pictures!! Just make sure you do your homework about all the rules and how to get there. Also make sure you're in good shape. Even if you're taking the bus instead of hiking the Inca trail- there is still some moderate...More

Last year entrance was 60$. Can't say about guide, as it depends on the package you take. I have seen 2-3 days tours that start from 300$ but include transportation etc.
