Macchu Picchu is breath taking, very nice place. Interesting history and unbelievable that it was built in the mountains. The walls are perfectly built. You have to be a fit to go up and down the stairs. Lots to see and well worth visiting.

Sorry guys but we were a little underwhelmed. We have recently done a number of wonders including Taj Mahal, Petra & Grand Canyon which maybe did not help. For us it just did not have that 'wow' factor. The history of it did not help...More

I don’t have a 2 year old, but I suggest that you go with a private guide, as we did, so you could pace yourself. The guide would meet you at the train station & take you from there. You would need to be able to carry your... More

You can bring a backpack in but there's a size limit. I think it's 20 liters. My pack was 45 so I had to check it. So I would take a small carrier.

Yes, I believe so. Ours was arranged before hand but when we arrived there were guides at the gate that were soliciting. I'm pretty sure that any one of these guides would be appropriate.
