There is a reason it is one of the Seven Wonders of the World! It is beautiful and fascinating given its history. Although it can be annoying while you are there, there is a reason why so many tourists who visit Machu Picchu. Give yourself at least 4-5 hours to complete the tour and get the pictures. I recommend as... More

Having married and traveled with a Native Peruvian, I have little to say about most of the country other than Machu Pichu. I tell everyone to get out of Lima as fast as you can and make your way to Cusco (or anywhere else) and eventually Here. As with all great travel destinations, pictures just don't do it justice. Looking... More

This place is truly amazing! If you can get a private guide it is worth the money because the other groups seemed too big and too hard to get the most information. It's not that much more by American standards and worth every penny. Sure there are a lot of people, but that is to be expected for the popularity... More

This is a must see if your ever in Peru. Such a beautiful place. The ride up the mountain was a little scary because the roads are narrow and you have multiple buses coming and going, just close your eyes till you get there. It was a journey to get there, we took a plane to Cusco and stayed the... More

If you visit Peru you have to see Machu Picchu. Don't go with to high expectations as we did because it's a nice place but not great. It was a challenge to take a proper picture without tourists on it. Entrance tickets are to expensive and if you also take the train you have to bring a big wallet. Our... More

This trip will be remembered for the rest of your life. It is better to stay overnight in a nearby hotel. From early morning to go on a shuttle in this valley through the mountain and spend the whole day there. It is highlands and will have to walk only on foot. But this adventure will be remembered for you.... More

We just returned from the tour by Journeyou 7-day Machu Picchu (actually, more like 5 nights/6 days). For the Machu Picchu trip, we had a guide (Fred Riaz, Masters degree in archaeology) accompanying us throughout the day, starting from hotel to train/bus rides to MP. Fred was very knowledgeable and passionate, making the tour very interesting. When we arrived at... More

One of the highlights of my lifetime and I'm so glad I got to see it. Spend a few days acclimating first because the altitude really tires you, even as a young person. Do every trail you have energy to do!

The place is stunning. I was glad that I bought two entrance tickets. The first day I did a guided private tour for 3 hours through ruins. I pre booked a guide from Yure's company. I requested and got a very knowledgable guide. Than I wondered additional 2 hours by myself. I was very tired after this 5 hours wondering... More
