My partner and I did a 7-day jungle tour with Fredy.
At Pilcopata, his lovely mother Rosario joined us to be our cook for the next few days.
We visited the Limonal ranger station and the private reserve of Blanquillo. We slept three nights in a tent, one in a basic room in Boca Manu and two nights in Pilcopata at Fredy's nice, little Lodge.
We really enjoyed our tour with Fredy and his mother!
Fredy is a very knowledgeable guide. As he grew up in the jungle he knows a lot about the nature/wildlife in Manu Nationalpark and also about the culture of the native and the andean people. Despite the circumstances with little kitchen equipment, Rosario served us very, very tasty and rich meals every day!
Sometimes we felt more on a camping trip with friends than on a guided tour, we had a lot of fun together.
Fredy speaks very good English, he is reliable and very cautious. He is open minded and we had very interesting conversations.
During the planning of our jungle tour, Fredy was very patient and he tried to design the tour to our wishes and budget.
We can really recommend Fredy as a guide to Manu Nationalpark and the surrounding jungle.
Thanks a lot for the unforgettable time!

We went on a seven day trip to the Manú Reserve and it was the perfect start to our Peru Trip! While our guide Fredy operates the company by himself everything went flawlessly from beginning to end. Fredy speaks very good English and has a lot to explain about each animal, the different cultures in the jungle and the jungle itself. He is also the best spotter and spotted the most impossible animals. You can definitely tell he has grown up around the jungle and knows what he’s doing and where he needs to look! We saw a lot of different species and Fredy made the greatest effort to accommodate all our requests and get the most out of our time in the rainforest. If you want a truly unique experience with a great guide go with Greenland Peru! And the food his mum cooks is just delicious ;)

I went with my family on Fredy’s tour, 3days/2nights. We are a family of five and it felt like we had a private tour with Fredy. There was only one other lady joining and it was nice to have such a small group. Fredy came to our hotel a few days before our trip to explain the program which was nice. On the first day, Fredy picked us up at the hotel and started explaining a little background history on the villages we crossed through. The first day for us mainly was driving toward the jungle, spotting some beautiful bird and learning more about the rainforest. Fredy was born and raised in the jungle and has some really interesting stories to tell. The first night we stayed at Fredy’s house. This is what you want to experience if you go to the jungle. The sounds if nature, open air shower, offline, not a possibility to charge your phone… how it should be! The second day we made some intensive hikes. Fredy knows a lot about the trees and insects we saw. We also made a nice boat trip on the amazone and did a night walk. We saw ants, frogs, caterpillars and some beautiful butterflies. On the third day it was unfortunately raining to hard so we couldn’t visit parrots lick, however we did spot some monkeys and even a snake! Fredy really did his upmost to spot the animals. Finally, the food was amazing. Fredy’s mother really managed to serve a 3 course dinner in the middle of the Jungle. To conclude, it was a wonderful experience.
P.S. don’t forget mosquito repellent

We took a 5D/4N private tour to Manu with Fredy in August. In just one word, the trip was fantastic. It was easily one of the highlights of our month-long vacation in Peru. Fredy is the epitome of friendliness. He is attentive, knowledgeable, and professional.
Accompanying us were the cook (Fredy’s mother), the boat driver, and his assistant. Every single member of the team was delightful. The food was great and tailored to our diets. The riverboat was comfortable, safe, and fast. During our trip, we stayed in three different lodges, one of which was Fredy’s. All the lodges were clean and comfortable.
We did various jungle walks. Thanks to Fredy, we saw many animals and learned a lot about the flora and fauna. Manu is awesome. Some animal encounters were simply incredible. We especially loved the night walks, which were thrilling and unforgettable.
What really stood out about Fredy's approach was his adaptability. He tailored the trip perfectly to our preferences and wishes, ensuring we had an experience that was both authentic and personal.
For anyone looking to immerse themselves in the genuine, non-commercialized essence of the jungle, Fredy is the one to choose. From planning to guiding, everything was impeccable. The 5-day tour left us wanting more. 😊

Having backpacked for 4 months so far in South America, I can definitely say that my trip to Manu National Park with Fredy the guide is probably one of the best things I’ve done.
As a guide, Fredy is kind and considerate, wanting to ensure that his guests have the best trip and explains everything fully and clearly, easily switching between Spanish and english and also accommodating my low level of Spanish by speaking slowly.
His knowledge of the jungle is awe inspiring. Having grown up in the communities living in the jungle he has an immense knowledge of the flora and fauna and can easily identify insects, plants and birds and spot them from great distances. He prides himself on providing an authentic tour which doesn’t exploit the jungle, the animals or the people who live there. Every animal we saw was in its natural habitat and living freely. His respect and passion for the jungle is incredible and it refreshing from other tours I have taken where guides know enough to give a tour but do not have a burning passion for educating others about the jungle.
He also has a great knowledge of the native communities in the park and is conscious to explain both the positive and negative aspects of their lives, it is interesting to hear a local perspective.
Fredy is curious and engaged with his guests and really wants to understand you and your culture as well. He is not just a tour guide but someone who becomes a friend within that short space of time.
As a vegetarian the food cooked by his mum, was incredible and ensured I got to eat authentic Peruvian cuisine. She adapted recipes and created wonderful dishes.
I feel very lucky to have picked this tour and I hope others won’t hesitate to reserve a tour with him! I hope to come back to Peru, so I can do a longer trip one day soon.
Another successful expedition !

We really enjoyed our tour with Greenland Peru to Manu national park. We chose to take a tour with Fredy because it seemed like a more personal than most other tour companies, and that turned out to be absolutely true!
Fredy came and picked us up at our hotel. Since we were the only ones that booked the trip, we had a private tour. During the tour he told us a lot about the animals, plants and people living in the jungle. He has a lot of knowledge from growing up there and learned a lot from his dad, who is also from the jungle.
The first night we slept at Fredy’s own lodge and for the second night we took a boat deeper into the jungle and stayed in a lodge there. The last night was in Fredy’s lodge again. All the days his mom did cook a very good lunch and diner for us.
We took several walks into the jungle to spot animals, including a night walk. We ended our tour with a visit to a native community.
We would highly recommend visiting Manu national park and taking the tour with Fredy! We think that him growing up in the jungle gives extra knowledge that other guides may not have.
We believe that because he grew up in the Jungle himself, he can give a unique experience.

Fredy Machete!
We thoroughly enjoyed the 4-day trip to Manu National Park. From day 1 to day 4, Fredy did his best to share his knowledge about nature and wildlife with us, filled with enthusiasm and humor. His mother and sister spoiled us with their delicious cooking, and it was no problem at all that we were vegetarians. Sleeping in the wooden lodges made the jungle experience complete. If you're looking for an authentic tour from someone who grew up in the jungle, and not a commercial tour, book with Fredy.

This was such an amazing trip! Fredy knows so much about the jungle and loves taking you to see the most beautiful flora and fauna. We stayed at his place on the first and third night, in a separate guesthouse which was so beautiful! His mom cooked for us and the food was absolutely amazing. You can tell that this are genuine lovely people who do everything in their power to make sure you have the best time possible. They're not commercial at all and are so caring. And we saw a tapir! Definitely a highlight of my month of traveling.

An amazing trip through the Amazone. Fredy has a lot of knowledge of the jungle and is a very good guide. He definitely knows the difference between standard tourism and fair tourism and is making the example of offering fair and eco tourism. The food on the trip was very nice and we even got the chance to go river floating. In the end I regretted that we only booked 4 days because I think we could have an even better exeperience if we went further into the jungle which is possible if you book a longer trip. Fredy is a funny and patient guide whom made your trip authentic. I would definitely reccommend booking a trip into Manu Rainforest with him.

Highly recommended journey into the Manu rainforest from Cusco.
Fredy is a genuine individual who cares about making his guests happy. He provided us with an authentic experience, allowing us to see animals in their natural environment.
Fredy prefers to show his guests animals authentically living in the wild.
During the 4-day tour, we saw a variety of monkeys, birds and insects. Fredy made the experience even more special with his knowledge and stories about growing up in the forest.
We were also in a part of the jungle where uncontacted tribes have been spotted, which made it all the more fascinating.
Another great aspect of the tour was that Fredy picked us up and drove us from our accommodation in Cusco and returned us afterward. We had breaks along the way, which helped break up the drive which is not common.
Overall, everyone was pleased with the experience. I highly recommend Fredy as a guide, and I encourage you to inquire about the different tours he offers that go deeper into the jungle.
