We went on a seven day trip to the Manú Reserve and it was the perfect start to our Peru Trip! While our guide Fredy operates the company by himself everything went flawlessly from beginning to end. Fredy speaks very good English and has a lot to explain about each animal, the different cultures in the jungle and the jungle itself. He is also the best spotter and spotted the most impossible animals. You can definitely tell he has grown up around the jungle and knows what he’s doing and where he needs to look! We saw a lot of different species and Fredy made the greatest effort to accommodate all our requests and get the most out of our time in the rainforest. If you want a truly unique experience with a great guide go with Greenland Peru! And the food his mum cooks is just delicious ;)

We booked the 4d/3n tour (Oct. 2022) to Manu with Green Land Peru tours without really knowing what to expect. With Fredy as our guide we could not have dreamed of a better experience. We saw jungle animals including a sloth, capybara, caiman, monkeys, dozens of colourful and unique birds, and many others.

Fredy is very comfortable in the jungle as he grew up there. We always felt safe knowing he could protect us no matter what. He is very adaptable and can find a solution in any unexpected situation. Fredy also has the best stories and we learned so much from our conversations with him.

The food definitely needs a special mention. As vegans, we don’t normally expect anything fancy when we ask if our diet can be accommodated. However, what we got was better than any vegan restaurant I’ve been to. Fredy’s mom, who was the chef for our trip, went above and beyond and made us separate vegan dishes at every meal. We can’t thank her enough!

So if you are looking for an authentic tour with a talented guide and amazing food, book with Green Land Peru for the trip of a lifetime!

I went with my family on Fredy’s tour, 3days/2nights. We are a family of five and it felt like we had a private tour with Fredy. There was only one other lady joining and it was nice to have such a small group. Fredy came to our hotel a few days before our trip to explain the program which was nice. On the first day, Fredy picked us up at the hotel and started explaining a little background history on the villages we crossed through. The first day for us mainly was driving toward the jungle, spotting some beautiful bird and learning more about the rainforest. Fredy was born and raised in the jungle and has some really interesting stories to tell. The first night we stayed at Fredy’s house. This is what you want to experience if you go to the jungle. The sounds if nature, open air shower, offline, not a possibility to charge your phone… how it should be! The second day we made some intensive hikes. Fredy knows a lot about the trees and insects we saw. We also made a nice boat trip on the amazone and did a night walk. We saw ants, frogs, caterpillars and some beautiful butterflies. On the third day it was unfortunately raining to hard so we couldn’t visit parrots lick, however we did spot some monkeys and even a snake! Fredy really did his upmost to spot the animals. Finally, the food was amazing. Fredy’s mother really managed to serve a 3 course dinner in the middle of the Jungle. To conclude, it was a wonderful experience.

P.S. don’t forget mosquito repellent

We were fortunate to take a 4-day tour in Manu national park with the amazing guide Fredy. Because of his background, he can tell fascinating stories about the fauna and flora of Manu like no other. He is also a great person who always puts you at ease and when the situation allows it, bring some fun to the environment. Every morning, afternoon and evening we were also culinary pampered by Fredy's mother, who provided a very tasty and well-prepared meal. We would recommend this trip to anyone. Thanks to Fredy and his mother, we had a very unique experience that we will never forget!

It was a amazing adventure. We are a couple from the city. Did was for us the first time in the jungle. So we did a short trip 3 days/ 2 nights. (Actually to short, Fredy told us at the start :-) The next time we will go longer. We will recommand that.
We were with the only 2 of us, so we had a private tour with the best guide Fredy. He was born in the jungle and know a lot about the nature en special the birds. He chooses his own way and tuned in what we like.
I like birds (ok I realise that I’am not a bird watcher) Fredy see a the birds for us 😃.
The accomadations were very good (also with no electricity in the first accommodation, because a tree fall at it. It was cosy with candle lights) The food was great (and a lot) made by Fredy’s lovely mother.
The journey to Manu was long, but worth it! A nice bouncy road to the jungle.
And the jungle was great with different birds (i see a lot of hunmingbirds 😍), toads, frogs, caiman, monkeys, ants, butterflies, snakes and more sounds at the night walk!
So beautiful green trees and plants.
Amazon is great. Beside that Fredy and his mother are very friendly and helpfull people.
We laugh with Fredy and he was so relaxed. We felt at ease with Fredy in the jungle.

Why? Because Fredy is born and raised in Manu National Park. He truly enjoys being in the jungle with you and he sees and hears everything (and so does his driver). He wants to give you an exceptional good experience and adventure. Many guides that organise tours to the jungle come from the Andes. These guides follow a standard schedule and have definately less experience and knowledge on how to find flora and fauna. Therefore, I would recommend Fredy as your tour guide through the jungle. His mom is lovely and prepares amazing meals for you. Contact information: info@greenlandperu.com or f_dominguez_valdivia@hotmail.com. Fredy is reliable and punctual (according to payments and appointments).

Fredy and the driver were constantly on alert looking for animals and birds to offer the opportunity for us to stop and see wildlife in Peru. They are very knowledgeable and want to share this with everyone. They knew my daughter was celebrating her birthday and thoughtfully shared that special event with our group.

We did the 4 day tour and we really enjoyed the whole trip. Fredy is an excellent host and devides his attention in the right way to all his clients. We had some really nice walks in the jungle and Fredy has a lot to tell. Our extra thanks goes out to Fredy’s mother who once worked as a chef in a restaurant and is now part of Fredy’s crew. She cooked a remarkebly nice 3 course meal in the middle of the jungle every day of the tour. I have some personal advise: also use musquito repellent on your clothes during the walks at night, I did not and got bitten over 20 times through my shirt. Luckilly there is as good as no malaria in this part of the amazon:)

We had the pleasure of going with Fredy from Cusco to Manu for 4 days/3 nights and we had a marvelous time in the van and on the boat amazed at the different views, at the lodges (very basic but clean and tidy), walking through the jungle, seeing all kinds of wildlife, bathing in the river, taking part of Fredy's vast knowledge of both nature and culture, and not the least, eating the great food that Fredy's mother prepared for us. Everyone in the family, including the 75 year olds, the 12 year old and the 4 year old, enjoyed themselves tremendously!
