We caught the train back after hiking Machu Picchu and it was wonderful. With free snacks and drinks given. Comfy seats and spectacular views out the large windows both along the side and in the roof this is a great train ride well worth taking.

Hi there.... We went on Perurail and were absolutely thrilled by the experience.... I do not know or have any experience of the other one that you have asked about.... but you will NOT be disappointed by Perurail. It's like flying on an plane you.. you have an assigned seat.... there are glass windows all around including the roof.... you have hostesses who bring you free coffee and cookies.... and on the way back you have a wonderful surprise! (which I won't spoil here)....
