Absolutely spectacular! The scenery, Machu Pichu, our guide Christian, the porters, the food, the customer service... Even the December weather! Our extremely knowledgeable guide, Christian, enriched our experience with his knowledge of the flora and fauna and with history at our stops at spectacular Inca ruins along the way and at Machu Pichu. We are not young, 67 and 70 but, with some snack and water breaks, the hike was no problem with a little patience from Christian and our hiking companion (there were only 3 of us on the hike!). We couldn't imagine a better trekking experience. If we trek in Peru again it will be with Wayki Trek!

We had planned on doing the 3D/4N Inca Trail trek beginning the first day that the trail (which is regulated by the government) was opened for the year. However, due to heavy rains the government delayed the opening of the trail to the public. Wayki was super responsive and communicative with us regarding the change of plans and offered us the Lares Trek option instead which we are happy we did. The Wayki office was very responsive throughout the booking process, answered all of our questions and provided lots of information leading up to our arrival. Franklin was our guide and we were the only 2 people in the "group". We had 6 porters and 2 cooks and they were awesome. Everyone had a specific role; they carried all of our belongings and worked hard to set up everything for us. Because we were the only two backpackers, it was overwhelming to be catered to at time. The food was excellent with plenty of food and snacks provided - great for keeping up your energy on long treks at high altitude! When we arrived at Aguas Calientes, the accommodations were quite luxurious and felt great after our trek. The company had to pre-book a specific time for our ticket to climb Machu Picchu mountain and there was a bit of a misunderstanding regarding the timing so we had to do an express tour around the ruins in order to make our time. However, we did get time to explore at a more leisurely pace and take pictures once we came down from the mountain. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

Fantastic customer service and very flexible. We were booked onto the Inca Trail but had to move onto the Lares trek given the closures during March. Our guide (Luis) was fantastic - so informative and taught us a huge amount amount Peruvian and Inca culture. The food was incredible (4 course lunch and dinner) and the team were always attentive and happy to help however they could. We booked a semi private tour but ended up just the 2 of us at no extra cost which was great. Other tour companies seemed to have very large groups but Wayki does not do that and gives you a truly memorable experience.

We did lares trek with my father, accompanied with Miguel, our guide, Timothy and Raimen, for the cook, and finally Carlos and his brother for taking care of the horses. What an amazing team! All are passionate people, happy to share their culture. Our guide was the best we could expect, very attentioned, giving us all the best information about the area and the culture of Quechua and Inca. The food was SO good! Always too much but you can stop try all this delicious local dishes. The trek was beautiful, with amazing landscape. But this trek is particularly interesting because you have the opportunity to go though Quechua villages and met some of them, that for sure you will never forget! Regarding feasibility, the trek is very accessible. You carry just your day bag and the camp and food is already set up when arrived. We finish by going to macchu picchu which is obviously incredible place! I recommend 1000% this trek, company and team! You can go eyes closed :)

Franklin our guide was very personable and friendly. He was knowledgeable and patient with 4 unfit oldies and encouraged us and went at our pace. The hotel and restaurants included in the price were good to excellent. It wasn't the cheapest option, but was value for money. You get what you pay for!
