Wow. Where do I start. Erik & the whole Exploor team (Martha, Carlos, Gaudy, Cindi, Cesar, Rosmy & all our drivers): you are all legends.
I usually plot, plan & book everything myself without going via a tour operator, mainly because I love it. (Maybe I missed my vocation in life?!) but this time, with the sheer distances we wanted to cover & adventures we wanted to have, I ended up opting to go via a Tour Operator. After much research, I found Exploor Peru & our itinerary building begin.
For Erik and his team, no request was too much. Over the duration of a month or so, he listened to my requests, made suggestions, tweaked, & tweaked again until we came to our final agenda (at a price that was far less than other, more well-known agencies were offering for similar routes.)
Lima > Sacred Valley > Machu Picchu > Cuzco > Arequipa > Colca Canyon > Puno > Lake Titicaca.
It was exhausting. ut boy oh boy what a trip to remember. We couldn’t have been happier with our experiences & we have Exploor to thank for that.

We arranged our 2-week Peru trip with Exploor for our family (3 teens). From the very beginning, we could tell it’s a great company. Erik worked with our budget ensuring that we got to see as much of Peru as we could and considered our needs as a family through the scheduled zoom call. The initial contact from the Peru Exploor group was later than expected, but afterward they were in constant contact for all of our questions. In addition to the detailed daily itinerary ahead of travel, the near daily WhatsApp contact was needed and appreciated since there were so many moving parts, with new locations and local points of contact. The pickups, accommodations, and guides were all first class. We started in Lima, then Tambopata in the Amazon, followed by Cusco, Sacred Valley, 2-Day Inca Trail to Manchu Picchu, Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), and ended our tour on Lake Titicaca (a perfect finale).
End of June and early July period was a great time to come. It enabled great views, especially for Manchu Picchu, Cusco, and Vinicunca. We needed to prepare for the different climates since we started in the jungle and ended in the altiplano at nearly 13,000 ft on Lake Titicaca. It’s a good idea to plan for altitude sickness, 2 out of 5 of us were affected— especially at Rainbow Mountain. Aside from the obvious sites, we considered the Mountain View Experience Lodge and the Titicaca Lodge Peru a must!
Our family had a once in a life time experience with the great people of Peru and their amazing cuisine. We had a deeper appreciation for its history and culture, especially due to the knowledge and enthusiasm of all our guides. We are so grateful for the whole Exploor Peru team for making this trip so seamless and unforgettable! THANK YOU!!

Our family’s custom Peru experience was way beyond expectations thanks to Exploor’s impeccable planning. Every detail was absolutely perfect for us (including our 2 teenage children). Our trip included the sacred valley, Machu Picchu, and the Amazon - we had very limited time and wanted to see as much as possible. Each stop was absolutely incredible! The guides and drivers were top notch at every destination and we absolutely loved all of the accommodations selected for us. The only negative would be some communication issues and an error in Aguas Calientes that derailed our original plan for Machu Picchu slightly - but the visit and our guide were both so amazing it was nothing more than a hiccup in an otherwise beyond perfect vacation! We would absolutely recommend using Exploor!

We did the 6-Day Best of Peru tour which was one of the most incredible experiences and it is all because of the amazing Exploor team! This tour really encapsulates a variety of activities in different regions of Peru while still making sure you get to see the major attractions (e.g. Machu Picchu). From the start, Oliver helped us quickly and efficiently plan our trip while answering all our questions to make this a smooth and stress free trip. Once we got to Peru, the operations team communicated with us daily regarding each day's plans. We had local guides (shoutout to Alfredo, Junior, Peter, and Claudia) for each day who were all extremely knowledgeable and excited to share their beautiful country with us. A special shoutout to our guide Junior who was with us during our time in Cusco and Rainbow Mountain as we fought altitude sickness. He was extremely patient with us, constantly checking on us and always had remedies on hand (oxygen tank, coca leaves, agua de florida) to make sure we could safely enjoy our time in Cusco and Rainbow Mountain. In addition, he was personable, funny, and passionate about the tours which made the experience even more enjoyable for us so we highly recommend him! This was an adventure of a lifetime for us and it is all because of the fantastic Exploor Peru team! We can not thank them enough and we highly recommend this tour and company to anyone interested in visiting Peru.

Using Exploor we created our own custom tours for me, my wife, my son, and his wife. We started in Peru, went into the Amazon staying at the Treehouse Lodge, Cusco, Sacred Valley, and the Inca Trail into Machu Pichu. They catered to everything while we were there - food, flights, guides, pickups, and hotels. A shout out to Erik Krauss for his help setting it up.
Our guides were also fantastic. I would like to share a BIG thank you to Orlando while in the Amazon, Gris while in Cusco and the Sacred Valley, and Christian for the amazing Inca Trail hike and Machu Picchu, and all the Support staff that kept us informed.

The experience was exceptional, I was delighted with the Pro service, punctual and super attentive. At all times there was good communication. From day one of planning with Oliver to our last day of vacation has been excellent. The scenery, the delicious food. Super attentive drivers, clean impeccable cars feel safe at all times. Hotels that gave us 10/10 ❤️. The most I can highlight about this whole trip was the attentions. 100% recommended.

We booked a customized trip with Exploor which was absolutely fantastic! Everything was handled for us and was very well organized. The local guides were excellent and we managed to beat the crowds to all the different sites we visited. I would definitely recommend Exploor for a trip to Peru!

We decided this 10-day trip late January and Exploor came up with a great plan satisfying all our needs and interests. Everything from airport/hotel transfers, all stays at hotels and villas, all tours and food were exceptional. We had the best guides for all tours, they were extremely knowledgeable of the Peruvian culture and history. Peru is a beautiful country to visit with rich culture, great charming people and amazing food to enjoy. Thank you Exploor, you made this trip one of our best.

We went with two families including 5 tweens. Exploor handled all of our details and the trip was exciting, smooth and filled with adventures. Exploor has knowledgeable and trustworthy guides that made all the difference. We opted for the PeruRail train from Cusco to Puno and it was a brilliant choice that gave us some downtime and a chance to see the Peru landscape. We highly recommend the Titicaca Lodge too, a definite highlight! Thank you to the entire Exploor team that made our trip so memorable

We worked with Erik to plan a 10 day trip to Peru. We visited Lima, The Amazon Jungle, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Humantay Lake and Rainbow Mountain. Everything was arranged meticulously. Aiport pick up and drop, tours and accommodation was all just as we like. They took extra care to ensure we had vegetarian options everywhere we went. We absolutely loved our time in Peru and it would not have been possible without Exploor. Highlynreccomend
