Lovely place to visit, nice square. lots of colonial houses, good monestary to visit, takes an hour with a guide but you can stay on afterwards.

The historic center is a delightful place to stroll, browse, shop, or just meander. The weather in Arequipa is quite pleasant so temperatures are ripe for such activities. You will find many shops selling alpaca and other textiles as well as restaurants, bars, churches.

Surrounded by a great looking church and shops, this is the place to relax after a busy day of walking in Arequipa. There are several eating places, at affordable price ranges. The shops in the allies (interior of the square) are a good bargain.
