This small museum had outstanding exhibitions of the many Amazonian and Highland tribes including musical instruments, clothing, weaving, textiles and very good descriptions of the groups. Outstanding free trade store with chocolate, crafts, interesting products.

We loved this small and interesting museum. The exhibits, housed over a couple of floors, were informative and well presented, and the small shop on the bottom had a good selection of local area products. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very worth a visit.

Only 2 blocks from the hotel, this is a very well done museum of pre-columbian artifacts from all over Ecuador. Lots of information about their cultures and superstitions. The Shaman exhibit is really cool.

We had private tour and dinner at this museum last night of our Overseas Adventure Tour. VERY interesting and well displayed arts and crafts. Sensitively, thoughtfully and proudly done. Gift shop unique and not items well priced.

I absolutely loved this museum. Very interesting explanations of cultural beliefs and customs. Most exhibits have English translation. I spent a couple of hours there and would highly recommend it to others.

The museum has four floors of exhibits of indigenous crafts, weaving, etc., and three floors of a wonderful shop offering related materials from indigenous carvers, weavers, etc. More than worth a stop!

This unusual museum devoted to the history of Ecuador’s many handicrafts is the only one of its kind in Ecuador. We started on the 5th floor and walked down through successive floors. On the way we were shown linkage of these artisan products to other...More

Too many historical museums focus on the past in ways that are at best of interest to people already, er, interested in the topic at hand. This impressive five-story representation of every major indigenous group in Ecuador takes you on a spiritual/historical journey through the...More
