A walking tour of Old Town Quito with a guide is the only way to go; otherwise, you will miss all the nooks and crannies where interesting things happened during the long colonial history of the city!

The Historical District is wonderful to visit. Much to see. Avenue of Seven Churches. Many museums and tons of people all over. The energy is thrilling and fun to watch.

There is a church in every block in old town. Most of them have wonderful art inside. They usually open for service and they usually have a sign at the door for the open hours for tourists.
