Don't let the scary reports of a rough road deter you. We drove up easily. These are the cheapest and most natural hot springs in the area. Very basic accommodations, basically some simple structures to give you privacy to change and cubicles at every pool to put your stuff in while you soak. There are 8 pools of varying temperatures.

We were taken here by our local friend and so surprised it isn't in the South America lonely planet guide. This is like nothing we've ever seen in New Zealand. The pools are completely natural very large rock pools... Sandy floor and huge rocks to sit on. The temperatures aren't regulated by staff but deliciously warm and cool depending on what you prefer. 4 pools were open when we went. Have large changing rooms at the top, smaller ones in the middle and 2 bathroom facilities. 8000 pesos per person. Really inexpensive for the awesome experience.

This place was recommended to us as being the rustic termas. It has 6 baths but one was empty during our stay. There are a couple of changing rooms but they are just roofs with doors, in the octobwr evening this was a cold experience outdoors. The big termas was the hottest but also had a lot of temperature fluctuations which was a bit strange. Overall it was a nice experience but a tad bit more accommodation, such as lockers (there are none!) would be nice. The termas are situated next to a raging river which causes a roaring sound in the background. Very nice. The drive up from Pucon takes about 50-60 minutes because there are a lot of potholes during the last 5km. Be careful when driving. There are is a long stairs down when you get there. The man at the desk that sold us tickets didn't speak English.

Los Pozones has beautiful thermal baths built in the woods along side a river. The natural wells and the area around it is lovely. There are clean bathrooms and changing rooms, as well as cubbies near the wells to put your items. However, it's best to check the water temperature before getting in. Some wells are warmer than others and some are more on the cold side. When we were there, after accidentally getting into nearly cold water, we found a couple of wells that had a pleasant temperature. It's also worth noting that if you do not have an all-wheel drive vehicle, you will have to park up top and take the stairs down. It is well worth a visit and a nice change from more commercial areas!

I had read somewhere that water is not warm enough. Since we were visiting in winter (end of June) I definitely wanted warm, so had decided to go to Termas Geometricas. But after an all-day hike in Cani we didn't have enough time to go there from Pucon and looked for an alternative. We decided for Los Pozones and that was a great decision. They had 5 open pools (plus 1 closed), we arrived around 9pm on a working day. It was raining, but the water was hot and sooo great! The first pool is the hottest, some of us couldn't even go in at the first attempt. For me initially it felt just right, but after a while it felt too hot and we wanted to try others. The 2nd and 3rd are warm and cool, but 4th and 5th are hot again (different temperature in each). There were almost no other people, one could have the whole pool to himself. The price is cheaper if you come earlier (I don't remember, maybe before 8pm). We came aroun 9pm and paid 10000CLP each (we were 7 people) and think it was worth it. Also I liked that it all felt natural - pools are surrounded by stones and with sand/grave at the bottom, not tiles. A river is rumbling nearby. There are showers and dressing cabins, but no lockers. However, you can bring your things along with you and keep an eye while bathing as the shelves are visible. We left valuables in the car and were not bothered. The water was clean. We stayed for 2 hours to arrive in Pucon before midnight, but the place was open till midnight at least. I also liked that it is not allowed to eat or smoke there.
