We made the trail to the waterfalls and the lakes. It was an experience that took a day. The tourist Office told us, that the trail would be flat. It was not flat, but it was tiresome. One Climbs up and down.
Excellent day walk through varied woodland. We did the yellow walk (Los Lagos) in about 6 hours including lunch stop and saw 6 Woodpeckers along the way. Lots of climbing uphill and back down again. Very easy to follow paths
We did the trek up to the lakes, which was quite demanding, especially the stiff climb up. The scenery and views were stunning, but we're still undecided if the whole experience was worth 12,000 Pesos, particular as a visitor to Chile pays 2/3rds more than...More
Went for the Laguna verde trekking and was astonishingly beautiful! Few people, nice hike and lots of trees and breathtaking views. Stoped to have lunch at the Laguna verde and then went back to the parking lot. It's a 50 minute drive from pucon. After...More

Hi Jessica, hope you are well. I recently did a 20km hike here of the las lagos trail which crosses many stunning lakes - totally recommend. I don't believe you would need a tour company for this hike. buses run from the town of Pucon to the park and the trail is very well marked. You could also drive there (which is what we did). There will be others doing the same hike so you won't be alone. it's not hard to navigate at all.
Hope this helps!
