About
"Situated in the Civic District close to historic and tourist sites, Raffles City Shopping Centre is a haven for consumers looking for luxury items. Built on the site of a former school (Raffles Institution), Raffles City is downtown shopping at its finest. The mall has a number of luxury and designer stores such as Omega, Thomas Sabo, Cortefiel and Tommy Hilfiger, among others. Here, you’ll also find big department stores like Marks & Spencer and Robinsons, and fashion chains like Topshop, River Island and Skyla. In fact, Raffles City covers most shopping bases with fashion, books, music, sports, toys, eyewear and beauty all available above the City Hall MRT station, which makes getting here all the more convenient. - TristanEFCanberra, Australia908 contributionsEasy access from the FairmontSeconds from the Fairmont and multi floors of food and shopping. Great for a rainy day activity or if too hot and humid outside. Too many food places to mention but something for everyone. Some are very popular and have huge lines. Great smells in the food court. You could easily spend a day shopping and eating and having massages/beauty treatments.Visited April 2023Traveled soloWritten April 12, 2023

The basement carpark was sacrificed and dozens of restaurants, cafes and shops added. Quite buzzy. The upper floors remain rather drab with no good anchor tenant or luxury brandsVisited May 2023Traveled soloWritten May 21, 2023
- Happy TravellerSydney, Australia5,428 contributionsA favourite place in singaporeWe love this place.. we have stayed very near it, and on top of it so always seem to gravitate to this shopping centre. Really love the bottom level with its cafes and food places, quirky stores etc Really easy to get to and a great central spot.. One thing I would mention is though, but there’s no seating anywhere that we could find. We needed to do a quick transaction on our phone and was looking for a seat somewhere in the centre to sit down on. We went through three floors and eventually had to go to the dining area of the food Hall. Would it really hurt to put some lounges around for people to sit on, we’re not all 21 any more.Visited July 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten July 12, 2023
- Hugary1Sydney, Australia5,801 contributionsRaffles CityThis centre has the high end brands like Chanel on the upper levels. But if you take the escalator downstairs you have food areas and a range of much cheaper shops. It also give you access to the MTR and lets you walk via tunnels, with shops, all the way to Suntech undercover. So heat, its got a/c nor rain will effect you. Two pubs side by side at the outer rim are also go for food or a beer. German one a bit more expensive but more choice and you can watch the world go by.Visited December 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten January 9, 2024
- SillypiggysSydney, Australia1,119 contributionsBeautiful building and worth heading up to the exploration deck at night. The building is structurally impressive. You get a great view of the building from the top floor of the shopping mall (there are escalators that take you up to a plaza with a view of the 4 buildings. To get to the top of the Raffles building for the sky walk, the entrance is inside the mall (bottom floor). It’s worth going to the exploration deck as you get an amazing view of the Chongqing city. The exploration deck costs RMB120 per person and students costs RMB100. Not too bad for the view and the experience to walk on the glass platform. We went at night and the view was spectacular. Chongqing winter days tends to get very hazy.Visited January 2024Traveled with familyWritten January 12, 2024

Prior to Covid, there used to be seats/bench for resting. Now they took it all away. It’s definitely not a place for the elderly or those with walking sticks and need a rest for few minutes before continuing their shopping errands.
Where’s the consideration gone for this mall?

5. I wish to convey my deep thanks and appreciation to Mr Rosli Saleh for his stellar service at the sistic counter today.
I wanted to purchase concert tickets for my mom and myself, but alas, the transaction couldn’t go through due to high traffic volume.
Rosli was exceptionally kind and offered to pay on my behalf and even trusted me to return the monies in cash to him within a week.
I’m extremely touched and shocked by his very kind gesture. This is the first time I’ve met such a kind professional at the concierge counter. Rosli truly makes our shopping experience beyond fabulous. We hugely recommend Rosli Saleh unreservedly. Rosli, with your impeccable care towards each and every client, we hope your talents will soar and be appointed as Head of Concierge one day ⭐️

This is the local mall for people staying at the Carlton Hotel, Swissotel, Stamford or, indeed, the famous Raffles Hotel. It's not a large mall but has some interesting shops and lots of eating places especially in the basement area. There's also a very popular German restaurant on the outside of the mall. Worth a visit.

…in which you can find loads of great places to eat, plenty to buy and go between different parts of the local area. Nothing architecturally impressive necessarily but good for shopping and easy to get out too (not always a given in Singapore, especially on Orchard Road).
