It was an excellent trip to the Inambankan falls by AC bus from Cebu South bus terminal. It was a 4-hour journey. On reaching the falls by a motorcycle ride was excellent and hilarious. To and fro trip for two cost us 400 peso (About US $8) It included wait time of one hour by the motorcyclist for hire while we enjoyed at the falls and took pictures.
We also gave a generous tip of 50 paiso and a smile on the guy face was noticable.
Hire your ride both ways, it is cheaper and you don't get exploited on your onward journey for lack of available transportation.
There are toilets, shower, changing rooms next to falls. Elevation reaching to the falls from the base is easy for middle aged people. Entrance is 200 pesos ($4 per person)
It is deep just under the falls, vests are available at a nominal fee.
The only bad thing is feet cutting pebbles and uneven surface due to uneven rocks submerged in the water. The Philippines govt. Should excavate the rocks in the water and replace it with friendly soothing surface to the feet. It will also prevent falls and injuries. Overall, it was a fun visit. NB: carry your water, caps hats with you. You can put your bags with valuable without any problem however keep an eye when inside water so that you are not left in underwears. It is Philippines. Accidents happen when we get distracted.
Email me for more info. I was a US traveller in Philippines.

We travelled up and down the coast considering which set of falls to visit. As there are so many other things to see we only left time to visit one, hoping we’d get it right and have our fill.
We chose Inambakan as the main falls (Level 1) looked the most beautiful, and would have the least visitors to spoil the natural beauty. We chose right.
This is an absolute gem - beautiful falls, friendly locals and none of the “manufactured waterpark” atmosphere created at other falls.
The drive up is getting better (newly paved sections) but is not a challenge if you are comfortable on your motorbike, or have a hired guide.
Entry is 50php. We had read that there were ways to avoid having a guide but why refuse meeting a happy, friendly local who took photos, shared his experiences and showed us the best way to enjoy his backyard. He didn’t ask for anything but we tipped him to show him how much we appreciated our visit.
We left thrilled - highly recommended (even though we only visited one)

I recommend our driver Joubert, who took us to the waterfall: +63 997 712 0487€. Admission to the waterfall is 440 pesos for two. Employees take a lot of pictures and videos of you. You can get a whirlpool under the waterfall jets. Unforgettable!

While they charge to park and there's a nominal eco-tourism fee, the falls are multi-layered and worth every penny. Spring water gushes year round unlike falls closer to Oslob (Tumalog Falls). Come here for perfect views and cool swimming.

This is the most stunning and unknown water fall in southern Cebu. Many people rave about Kawasan falls but to be honest i think this waterfall is 10000x better than Kawasan. Unfortunately the cliff jumping is not as good but the rest of the water fall is way better. There are more than 5 tiers of waterfalls leading you up stream into the jungle so make sure you bring your hiking shoes and get ready to swim in the most beautiful water you have ever seen. Best of all, it will be less crowed

A great God's gift. Very beautiful, adventure, and amazing to experience. The water is cold and relaxing. Not too crowded, but the location is a bit far.

Went here on a weekday afternoon. Hired a habal-habal (motorcycle) to take me to the spot. The sloping road leading to the place, although narrow, was well paved so it was not a challenge to get to the site. I even enjoyed the greeneries and panoramic view while en route our destination. Took us around 10 minutes to reach the jump-off area. From this point, we headed for a short trek (another 10mins) to falls. The trail is quite easy so it should be a relief for those who are not so into adventurous ventures.
Inambakan waterfalls may not be the grandest in Cebu but perhaps, it’s one of the most charming. First thing that I actually noticed was the Turquoise color of the water in the catch basin. Before Inambakan, I’ve already seen several waterfalls in some of my travels, but it was my first time to encounter such untainted, invigorating waterfalls. I was surprised to catch a glimpse of a rainbow hovering around the spray emitted by the falls. Another first for me, and it was a pure delight to my naïve senses.
There was a flock of visitors busy catching mementos when we arrived so my guide, Kuya Noel (who happened also to be my habal-habal driver) suggested for us to just go back there. He offered to accompany me atop Inambakan to see another falls in the name of Bugnawan. A short trek up (around 5 mins) got us there. The path is quite steep, but manageable enough for newbies. It’s just a humble falls, 4-5 meters high (in my estimate), and takes pride in its crystal-clear waters. The cold water was so inviting but I decided to get wet in Inambakan (whoop!). Good thing when I went down, the visitors had already left and I got to enjoy the falls all to myself! *Insert big smiley here*
Tips:
1. For a 1-day falls hopping itinerary, you may slot in Inambakan along with Samboan’s Aguinid, Dao and Hidden Binalayan Waterfalls. Just start early (7-8 am ideally) so you’ll have enough time to enjoy each attraction.
2. One-way habal-habal ride would cost Php 30.00 (Php 60.00 for round-trip). In my case, my driver (Kuya Noel) also served as my guide to the falls. Although, the track is traceable, I’d still recommend that you get a guide for your safety particularly for solo travelers like me. Good thing about Kuya Noel is that he’s not that abusive type of driver. In fact, I did not even negotiate the price with him. I was the one who dictated how much to give. Of course I handed him more than the prevailing rate for the extra service he rendered, so it’s purely voluntary. And by the way, he eventually became my tour guide the next 2days. It was a good decision on my part because he even brought me to several spots I don’t know about. He’s dependable so I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him.
Below are his contact details.
Kuya Noel: (632) 9323584544 (Habal-habal driver)
He wouldn’t usually reply to text messages due to lack of load so to be sure, just give him a call. By the way, he is based in Ginatilan, but he can also take you to nearby towns like Samboan and Malaboyoc just like what we covered in my itinerary.
3. I’ve read that Kampael Falls is also located nearby Inambakan & Bugnawan.
So if you have enough time to explore, you can also squeeze it in your itinerary.
4. Best to go here on a weekday. General idea is that public attractions tend to get crowded on weekends and holidays, so if you want to enjoy this attraction with lesser crowd, or if your lucky enough own it to yourself, schedule it on off-peak days.
5. Entrance Fee: Php 20

I visited on a weekday afternoon and apart from encountering about four Fili[pinos returning from the falls as I hiked for 15 minutes to reach it, there was no one else there.
In the scenic town of Ginatilan, I hired habal-habal (motorbike) driver Arthur, who was very friendly. The return fare was P50 although I must admit I tipped him at the conclusion.
He kept the speed down to 15kmh as I am not fond of riding without a helmet, even on a paved road such as this. However as usual, hanging onto him it was easy even for Westerners and others not used to travelling by motorbike.
The hike was along a partly muddy trail with some large butterflies observed as I came closer to the falls.
The raft under the falls was very cheap, and a fraction of the cost of Kawasan Falls. The waters were turquoise and so the scene looked very attractive.
It's best to go on a weekday of at all possible as this gives one the chance of having few others, or as occurred to me, no one else, at the falls.
Going there in the morning around 0800 when the sun hasn't reached full tropical strength would also be terrific, but even in the heat of teh afternoon this was most enjoyable.
I used a combination of tricycles and the public buses (half hourly frequency) to get to Ginatilan and had no problems. A bargain day out to see three lovely falls in one day.

Wanted to go to Kawasan Falls but don't like the crowd and the jumping? Go here instead. It's a little far off Samboan and oof the beaten path but if you have a motorbike you can easily get in. Just for one dollar, you'll get a free use of lifevest and entrance to this majestic waterfall. It has cool, clear water that you will surely love. I stayed here for an hour and really got to enjoy frolicing in the water. There is even a mini falls over the stairs. I loved it here.

In my opinion, this falls is much better than Kawasan falls. Kawasan is too commercialised with the bamboo rafts and tables everywhere. This is a hidden gem in the beautiful town of Ginatilan. Very quiet and super beautiful. There's no need for a guide as you'll reach the main falls after 5 mins of walking. There are another 2 smaller falls high up as well.

Can Kawasan Falls and Inambakan falls be done in a single day?
Written October 10, 2022
We are a group of ten people the youngest is 7 yrs old and the oldest 64, we plan to go mid July this year. How steep is the path to Inambakan Falls and is it safe for the younger kids?
Written June 30, 2019
It was quite narrow and muddy when I went there. Older people could perhaps hold hands with the younger ones.
However I wouldn't describe it as 'difficult.' Quite easy for all ages.
