This fabulously delicious rustic pub, largely made from driftwood foud on the beaches by Captain Joey and his staff is a delight to see. The laid back staff will do their best to ensure you feel like you are a long time friend, and serve up strong cocktails and frozen cold beer. Sit on driftwood seats at the bar, chat with locals, have a nap in the pub or in their beach side greenairium, or order in delivery food from Italian di Mario pizza or best burgers in Boracay from Cowboy Cuccina.
All the staff, from Captain Joey and his long time girlfriend Jen ensure that Red Pirates remains super LGBT friendly.
But for an outstandingly memorable experience, book their paraw from a few hours (1,000peso per hour) and circle the island, stopping at an ultra private beach for BBQ and drinking and swimming. Take 5 or 6 friends with you for the ride and it will be an amazing highlight of your trip. Their new Paraw is one of the largest on the island and features flat webbing to sit on (a lot more comfortable than the traditional mesh rope), and some nice touches like marine putty over wire joints making it very safe and difficult to cut yourself, unlike the rest.
Sitting at Red Pirates one cannot help but feel closer to the natural beauty of Boracay, and dream of how all of this island once was. Over active tourism and "progress" may have changed forever the Bagalog and station 1 and 2 areas of Boracay, but an evening at Red Pirates in station 3 will enchant and delight those wanting to feel the real beauty of island living in their hearts and under their toes.

I LOVE the rustic nature of the design, the friendliness of the staff, the unassuming "island time" approach to everything that Red Pirates offers. Sitting at a piece of driftwood, with your feet on sand, drinking frozen cold drinks in the shade, or eating basic tasty clean food, or having the most amazing sailing experience with a bunch of their staff on a paraw (local catamaran) the Red Pirates is great fun, and stingily suggested for a visit EARLY in your Boracay trip, since they offer much advise of some secrets of the island.

Don't be fooled by the great reviews on here if you are after a stunning venue. It's essentially a shack on the beach with not great facilities... But for me the reason you come to a place like Boracay is to experience the culture, meet good people and have a good time. This place has character and good folk in abundance.
Live intimate music and cheap beer! Great place :)

Yes a fun place to have a drink but beware of the bathroom. Even by 3rd world comparisons its pretty bad. Im used to ladeling water in for a flush but its impossible when there are no inner working on the toilet. Add to this that there is no way to wash your hands afterwards and that the cooking staff has to use the same facilities and diarherra is a real possibility. You'd think that more effort could be made if they truly want tourists to visit. Have a drink but be warned about eating here or using the facilities.

Want the relaxing Boracay ? Old "style". Stay along Station 3 ! Red Pirates is owned by the most kind people you can imagine. And serving a great beach barbecue on Fridays. No wonder most of the foreigners who like the "good old Boracay", prefer to stay at Station 3. Away from the overrated and expensive places along station 2.

Red Pirates is run by a charming Filipino, Joey, (great Filipino smile) married to a very nice young British lady, Jenny. They are both very eco-conscious and put Boracay before profit - this is reflected in their low-key, all native characterful premises with luscious leafy shade extending on to White Beach. We regularly meet expat and Filipino friends here, as well as make new friends with holidaymakers of all nationalities - it has that kind of laid-back and friendly ambience. We regularly enjoy Boracay's famous sunsets armed with a drink from the bar here. We genuinely can't think of a nicer place on White Beach to do so, not least because it's not day-tripper touristy or crowded.

If you want to get away from all the glitz and upscale so called beach bars on Sation 1 and 2, then slip down to station 3 to get an authentic beach bar feel. Live music on Weds, Fridays and Saturdays. Very friendly atmosphere. Sand under your feet. You can even bang on the drums with the singers. Don't show up all dressed up or you'll feel over dresses. Bathing suits and flip flops are more than acceptable attire.

I stopped by this place at least once a day in Station 3 for a quick drink or a long mingle with all the patrons. Everyone from locals to new travelers alike come enjoy this relaxing reggae/chill vibe here. Cool decorations and the owners Jen and Joey are super cool and usually around. They have a boats you can rent to go sailing (some of the best on the island). They also do BBQ's on Friday evenings so check that out. SO if you don't want the commercial noise and craziness, this is the best alternative to enjoy a vacation. Not a restaurant but you can order food off a number of menu's from nearby places that will deliver the food while you drink! Nice.

"Good Morning" greets just about every person who enters this tiny little bar way down in station 3, whatever time you decide to go there!! The Mojitoes are the best on the island as Joey (the owner) has his own mint garden. Thereis live music most nights, and the performers are not like the canned Karaoke singers at the resorts further up white beach. These guys are real musicians & singers, from Bobby & Zaldi (Regulars) to Rea (sings mostly on wednesdays) and the best string plucker guitarist on the island Lenver. Red Pirates has a chilled & relaxed vibe...check it out.

We have a great time sailing with them.
They are also the only place I found that do not charge exhortation rate like the others. Their charges are reasonable and you get value out of it.
Sunset sailing is my top reason why I return to Boracay and Red Pirates is the place to go for it.

Is there still an island adventure tour with a meal? I tried e-mailing them to ask some questions about making a reservation, but their e-mail does not work. Will it be easy to make a reservation once I get there?
