It's probably a beautiful beach, but there are hundreds of visitors ( Philippino) and people trying to sell stuff. Don't bother, not worth it

Exploring Puka Shell Beach in Boracay was a serene escape to a quieter and more natural side of the island. The beach’s powdery white sand and the vibrant Puka shells scattered along the shoreline created a picturesque scene. It’s a place to relax, sunbathe, and take leisurely strolls along the shore. The clear waters and gentle waves make it ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Unlike the bustling White Beach, Puka Shell Beach offers a quieter and more tranquil atmosphere, perfect for unwinding. The local vendors selling fresh coconuts and souvenirs added to the charm. Puka Shell Beach is a must-visit for anyone seeking a peaceful day by the sea and a break from the island’s livelier spots.

The most quiet area of the Island while enjoying the white pristine beach. Beach mat and coconut juice is also available here.

Beautiful beach with blue crystal clear waters and no crowds! Definitely worth visiting. Sand here is not as fine as Boracay’s main beach but the isolation and quietness of this place is just amazing. Lots of local vendors and overpriced stuff but it’s nice to know that we can help them by buying their staff. Along the shade from the trees you can get a fresh juice shake and they’ll set you up with a mat while waiting. Nice spot to take a nap and escape from the heat for sure.

Beautiful beach, local vendors, no mass chains along the edge. Can easily find a spot under a palm tree and spend the day in your little patch of paradise. Water is crystal clear, boat rides and kayak options, shops and places for snacks in the main walk to the beach from where you’re dropped off. Would definitely recommend a few hours here. Take a towel, sunscreen, hat and book and you’ll have a relaxing peaceful day.

Puka beach is one of the best beaches I have seen. It is not as crowded as White beach, although it is quite far from the accommodation area. It has very good views over the island of Carabao

Beautiful white sandy beach in Boracay that can be reached on one of the many island hopping tours offered. However, if you want to sit down at the beach, you will be obliged to purchase something from the numerous amount of vendors roaming the beach. Not a great place to relax. Way too many vendors bothering you.

This was one of the nicest beaches that have ever visited in 2019 before pandemic situation. The puka beach was back then almost virgin. White sand, beautiful palm trees, clean water and almost no one to bother and hassle you. I went back in December 2022 and the beach wasn't the same any more. It lost its charm. Better go to a beach in front of Movenpick to watch the sunset.

Hi, we are staying at Movenpick on NYE. Some of our friends are staying in White Beach. If we went to visit them and celebrate NYE with them at White Beach, how would we get back to Movenpick and what is the latest we could get away with traveling back to our hotel? I don't want to get stuck in White Beach that night when I imagine most rooms will be sold out worst case scenario. Also, if there is transportation to get you back at say 1am, is it safe to travel the road at the time of night?

We always used the toc tocs (motorcycles attached to kind of cabin). Some can take about 7! I would arrange to have one pick you up late into the night. There are almost no other public transport possibilities but the hotel could also send you one of these. Enjoy the island and I hope the pollution problem has been resolved. I think it would be safe and distances are really short .
How to get there from Beachcomber Resort?

Hi Dianne,
The only way that I know of is by getting into a bangka boat. You can either charter the whole boat or just pay for per person charge . You will have to wait for some time though if u share with others. Lots of guys will approach you at the beach for this island hopping adventure, so just get the cheapest you can find :) (cheapest i found out was 400 peso per person - 4 islands & lunch)

Hello everyone!
I was told by my photographers that I need to pay for photoshoot permit to take photos in Puka beach and certain parts of Boracay. However I searched online for more information, there was nothing mentioned about photoshoot permit in Boracay. I wana ask has anyone encounter or paid for the photoshoot permit?

i've been here in boracay for almost 2 years and i haven't heard about a photoshoot permit. if they have that would be nonsense as it is nature.

How far is Yapak from the main Jetty?

The beach is exactly on the opposite side from the Jetty port, you have to travel the entire length of the island, about 7 o 8 km. Surely not by walk!
