We were not able to swim on this beach. We arrived around 17:00, the tide was already high, it was far shallow, and there was a lot of nasty algae on the beach. Small trash. But it turned out that after low tide there were a lot of starfish on the beach, both big and small, cucumbers, hedgehogs, jellyfish!!! We went and looked at them.

Located just right on the other side of Boracay Island, opposite the famous White Beach, this place offers a good alternative for those who are fun of water activities like island hopping, snorkeling, diving, parasailing, jetskiing, etc. In fact, this is where such activities are held during the south-west monsoon ("habagat") season, when the White Beach is continuously battered by strong winds and big waves. The situation is reversed during the north-east monsoon ("amihan") season.

There are many tour operators offering water activites in the area. You can get them at a good price if you know how to haggle. So don't grab the first offer that comes your way. A typical island hopping tour in the area includes snorkeling near Crocodile Island, a visit to Crystal Cove Island, cliff jumping in a small island (whose name I can't recall), and so forth. Enjoy! :D

Popular place for kite surfing in Boracay . Several restaurants. Some hotels. Some establishments not opened, maybe related to the pandemic. But beach area doesn’t seem well cleaned and maintained. Somehow good for photo ops. Activity wise, seem limited at this point in time.

This is a lovely, calm water bay. It is a local beach and the sand is not as white. But the water is crystal clear - and at this time of year at least is very calm and wave free. Ideal spot for a bit of floating, a canoe selfie, some swimming and relaxing in the sun. Definitely one of the under-rated beaches!

We stayed at Station 2 on white beach but walked across to see how this side of the beach looked like. What a disaster. It was around 8 in the morning, with low tide there was a plot of sea weed and smelly stuff on the beach. We saw a few tourists and locals cleaning but they would need more than a few hands to take that smelly stuff out of the beach.
Cannot compare white beach with Bulabog. It’s chalk and cheese to me.

The beach on the west bank. Always strong winds and small waves. A kitesurf paradise. The sea washed ashore the seaweed, but this beach is not for swimming. Many specialized schools and hotels. Equipment rental. There are some cool letters about Boracay.

If you are into kite surfing, then this place is a must visit for you. Although we are not into this type of adventure, merely watching kite surfers provided fun and amusement in our early morning walk on this beach. The beach is just a 5 minute walk from D'mall. A must visit in the morning.

Unfortunately the kite surf spot in Boracay is NOT recommended because the water is HIGHLY polluted with sewage. All kite students I met in Boracay had experienced terrible infections: fever, very bad pain in the whole body, vomiting, diarrhea.
The reason is that all sewage water in Boracay ends up in Bolabog Beach (kite surf beach). This is not a secret as you can clearly see 3 pipes leading in to the beach water. You can even smell it in some places. Some people tried to address this to the government through written statements. However, it was being ignored until now, though still collecting an “environmental fee” from each tourist travelling to Boracay!

Known for its safe water for kite-boarding and windsurfing enthusiasts as coral reef protects the entire area. The place has it's own identity and fame if you will compare it to its opposite side - White Beach.

Bulabog Beach is truly a windsurf and kite-board mecca of Asia.
