The worst thing about this hotel is differently the Philippines Food at the Buffet Breakfast. most Westerners would find almost nothing suitable to eat, both myself and my wife are from Australia, but the only food my wife generally eat at breakfast each morning for 15 days was the Bread and Butter Pudding.
I personally was able to eat a little more variety, the other point with the food is it’s TOO COLD, at best Luke warm, to me this promotes a food poisoning issue, that the hotel desperately needs to improve.
The supposed private beach is of poor quality, with a full wind and coral sand screen, preventing any site of the actual beach from the poor quality supposed beach bar. They also tractor the beach about 8 times a day trying to clean the seaweed and plastic bottles etc washed up on the beach and then proceed to dump this just to the side of the beach.
On the positive side the Hotel is well designed and constructed and the staff are generally the most welcoming, pleasant and helpful l have every come across anywhere in the world.
We did have trouble with our room access card, preventing us accessing our room on 4 days out of the first 7 days, after having to argue our case to the site manager rather aggressively, they relented and upgraded us to another room.
The hotel is 7 km from the famed White Beach, more hype than actual, my advice is to go to “Palawan Island” (even my Manila Taxi Driver highly recommended) beaches as so much more than Boracay, l wish l had gone there instead.

Incompetency from both admin and security
Forcing us to park our vehicle facing the store in the disable parking knowing it will be difficult for us to load the wheel chair from the rear. “Standard formation” they say so you dont hit the motorcycle daw
Sounds idiotic putting priority on motorycles parked in an area that isn’t designed for parking.

Good thing Shopwise is just nearby
Better grocery better facility

This mall is right across the road from Fairways Resort, where we stayed for a week.It was convenient for basic supplies such as water beer snacks etc.

It's a small mall that doesnt offer a lot. There is a supermarket, food court, cinema and other retail stores located there. I did find the supermarket prices higher here in comparison to Budger Mart in DMall.

There is another new mall since my last visit called Robinsons which I didn't get a chance to visit. Its not far from this mall and also has a supermarket.

7-11 employee at city mall is corrupt and dishonest. Selling a cigarette to me at triple price. I wish management will not tolerate this guy.

City Mall is another mall in Boracay where you can shop for your essentials. It has fast foods, boutiques, an SM Hypermarket, and even a movie house however the movie house is currently not operating at this time.

I'm giving it a one star because of RUDE security guard in hypermarket! Why being rude in the middle of the pandemic? Why being rude in tourists who bring salaries to your pockets? Also the cashier of SM hypermarket forgot to bring back my sm advantage card, i wasn't mindful of it as well because Im so hungry at that time but again, the cashier should have run after me to give it back!

those were the not so good experiences I had in City mall, bora

This is a small shopping center with something like 8-10 stores. The clothing stores had some nice clothing’s to good prices. There’s also a supermarket and a pharmacy if these kind of products are needed.

This is Boracay's first indoor mall and was quite a novelty when it opened. However, the prices, initially favourable, appear to have crept up above those in Manila.

The mall has limited outlets with Watson pharmacy, ACE Hardware and SM supermarket being the main three with a cinema on the upper floor adjacent to huge empty spaces that I assume may one day be commercially utalised.

The supermarket always seems to struggle with packaging as long queues build up whilst the checkout staff try and cope with boxing large purchases. More large trolleys and a seperate boxing facility away from the checkout would easily facilitate smoother movement and to me it seems extraordinary that after all this time such a facility hasn't been provided.

Much of the goods are sitting on shelves with no adjacent price tags and I've yet to see the wall mounted price scanner in operation.

Staff seem poorly motivated and managed.

More malls are now springing up on the island inevitably increasing competion.

City Mall is a friendly fun shopping centre, average choice of produce in the supermarket, a few little boutiques, hardware store, and 3 phone shops. Also has good choice of budget café food inside and out, + kiddies games.
The second floor has a great little cinema with all the new VO + Tagalog movies updated every week., for only 200 php the ticket!

The mall is one floor. There are a lot of shops and the food court was full at lunch time( usual Jolibee, Mang Inasal, Chow king). There is a money exchange inside the grocery store and a globe booth to buy load.
The air con was a relief from the heat outside.

Supermarket is small and fresh produce is very limited. Good thing there are sari sari stores nearby where there are vegetables and fruits.
Price is higher compared to Manila. Maybe because everything is shipped into Boracay.
There's a BDO bank with ATM.
