We had the most amazing time with the private tour A that we did with this agency. They pick us up in our hotel until the beach that our boat was leaving. The staff is great and they took us to some of the most wonderful beaches and islands that we could imagine. The lunch was OMG! We can't say enough about this agency. If you're in El Nido, this is the right choice for you.

We went to el nido for 8 magical days. It was part 2 form a 3 weeks trip, and turn out to be the best part of them all.
This travel agency was the cherry top !
Cris the owner was amazing. He arrange a privet boat , took us on a privet and isolated island, left us with food and came back at sunset to pick us back. It was the pick of the trip.
We did tour a,b,c . Tour a is the best one.
Cris was very reliable and always offered us the best rate! We check!!
This tour agency was probably the reason everything was smooth, easy, fun and comfortable.
Thanks cris for everything!!!

I don't usually write a review. But writing one for Maambeng is worth it, just as booking our tour with Maambeng was worth it. My family and I went island hopping on January 11-12. We actually didn't search for a good tour company to end up with Maambeng Travel and Tours. Once we got out of the Puerto Princessa Airport, we booked our tours with a company who worked with Maambeng. The prices were pretty reasonable - 900 pesos per person + environmental fee of 200 pesos. We booked for Tour A and Tour C. But because there was a post-storm, the weather was still not so good so we did Tour B then Tour A, which was actually better because the tours were mostly of being in the water. Our tour guides, Kuya Jorge and Jerome, were the best! The spoke English, even though they told me they have a hard time speaking English to me haha since I speak very little of Tagalog. They were super friendly and funny. They made us comfortable and helped out those who couldn't swim. When we went snorkeling, it was high tide and I was having a hard time since it was my first time. But Jorge was able to help me by holding my hand and taking me to some good snorkeling spots so I could have the experience. Thanks kuya Jorge!! Kuya Jorge & Jerome were awesome at being photographers as well! They knew some cool spots and poses to do. I even actually bonded with one of the tour guides, Jerome, who encouraged me in getting in the kayak to experience the Big Lagoon haha and paddled the kayak boat for me while I did some sightseeing and we just talked. If your tour guide is gonna be Jorge and Jerome, tell them Stefi said Hi! haha. Book them! & if you can request them as your tour guides, do it. Because they are amazing! The best! Like they took the time to prepare our food and presented it so beautiful, unlike other tour guides that we saw. & Have Fun!!

My husband and I availed Tour A from this company. Tour guide and boat Crew were very friendly. Unfortunately the transmission broke down and we were stranded in the small lagoon. Our trip to Commando Island was cancelled. Crew members tried to fix it but they dont have the tools. Tide was getting bigger and we were concerned for our safety. Management tried to provide a rescue boat but it took 2.5 hours to get there. It was already dark when we reached the shore. The Crew as well as the owner were very apologetic. Free Ice Tea were provided. We do understand that it could happen to any boat. Its just unfortunate that it happened to us. Good thing we dont have children on board. Maambeng is a freelance company, and if problems does arise, they dont have a spare boat to do the rescue especially on high season. I would suggest the boat owners to make sure that their boats are well maintained and equipped, not just life vest and snorkling gear but also tools in case the boat breaks down.

How to choose a travelagency in El Nido where almost everyone sells the island hoppingtours A, B, C and D. For Maambeng the reviews on TripAdvisor were outstanding, so I chose them. Pricewise it's a good deal since they include the environmental fee (200 pesos) and the rent of snorkling gear. More important is that the crew really took care of their guests and made sure that even the ones who couldn't swim got to see all of the beautiful places we visited.

My partner and I decided to go with this tour group after speaking with a few tour groups and got a good vibe off this one.
The tour was an extra 100 peso that what the other companies charge but included a fairly decent snorkeling mask.
The boat was a lot bigger than most other companies and was not overly crammed. The guides was very helpful and accommodating, assisting the less strong swimmers to make sure they got to see everything.
Lunch was amazing with a selection Philippino seafood with rice an fresh fruit.
If we were to do another tour would have booked again with these guys.

There are dozens of tour companies you can do island hopping with and all are pretty much the same set price. This company had a weird name, but they were really great! We had a great group of mostly young adults. The staff were very easy going and made a great feast to eat on one of the beaches! We never felt rushed when going from one island to the next and stayed at each for the perfect amount of time. We did Tour C, and I've heard Tour A is also amazing. This is a great company to go island hopping with!

booked in advance with travel Palawan so we had paid transport to and from our hotel but if you don't have transport they have a lot of taxi and El Nido has a lot to see and do and its all close together. We did Tour A 1st and its a lot and very active and then tour C the next day Chris was great and the staff is more then willing to help travelers from all over. just have to pay the environmental fee 200PHP per person (but they give you a receipt that's good for 10 days)
other then that some of the best beaches we have ever been to and the travel time is not too bad either I think 40 mins was the longest travel time to destination.
I rather spend more time in El Nido then Coron if I did the trip over again

Very unprofessional. At the end of the boat trip, we were left to fend for ourselves and scramble for a way back to our hotel.

My friends and I just returned from a very bad tour the day before so when we booked this we were hoping to make up for it. Boy, did we. The tour guide was friendly and informative. The boat captain was a legit captain and the staff was always willing to help and knew their stuff. The boat was great and legit. We all felt safe and secure. The tour was amazing. The beaches and sights we all saw were other worldy. When I return, and I will, I'll definitely use these guys for another tour

Does anyone know if you can choose dates for the tour on the website? When booking it takes me straight to the PayPal without the option of choosing the tour date?

What tour would be good for 3 non-swimmers including an 84-year old female?
Is the Php 200 separate from the listed fee posted on the website?
Is advance reservation (online) recommended?
Thanks,
Susie
