We traveled here to do some peaceful and enjoyable snorkeling. There was a bit of a current so it gave us, including our guides, an extra swimming challenge. Ocean water and sunlight were just so relaxing and the fishes were colorful, mostly various shades of blue during our visit. I tested the water without a vest and I am happy enough to say the ocean would not let me sink. I am not sure if that is a good thing for freediving, but for one who relies heavily on vests, this was really comforting. For once, I finally felt I have braved the ocean, a few seconds at a time, that is!

This quaint little island is generally known for its snorkeling (although we thought some other spots were better - like Cadlao Lagoon), but also features a small white sand beach with striking limestone rocks. The water was pretty much clear at the shore. We really loved how quietly nestled this little beach is and how private it feels. Also there is a little lady who sells really delicious young coconuts here and man are they sweet! Overall we would say this was cute but not a must see. Definitely recommend getting there early, otherwise there can be lots of people and the beach is pretty small.

We stop there for lunch time and while cocking the food we spend the time snorkeling really it was nice and wonderful place. The Island was named after a Japaneses guy who lost inside one of the caves at the island this is what our tour guide told us.

This seems to be the first stop for tour A boat trips. The place was not too crowded when we visited. Be careful of the snorkeling area as there is a strong current. Strong swimmers will be fine but watch for little children and mediocre swimmer. Wear a water vest!

This is a stunning location, but be sure to use a reef safe jellyfish repellent. I was stung by jellyfish larvae all over my body.

"Tour A" stops here for lunch, which is really good. However, if you get the choice, try and stay here for longer. It's a great place just to chill, and the snorkelling is fantastic. A huge amount of colour and variety to see in a safe and relatively small area, to the left of the rock island as you look at it from the beach. Rivals Gt Barrier Reef and many other places. Check it out.

Most tour (Tour C) will stop by at this island for Lunch. This will be filled with lots of people during noon and it's a fun place to meet other people. The island has beautiful corals and fishes so you may want to snorkel while waiting for lunch or just sun bathe to tan.

Hi Mat - you need to hire a boat or join a boat leaving El Nido island. The hotels in the El Nido mainland can help you join or book the boat. It is about 45-60 minutes from the main El Nido island.
If you do check-in to some of the resorts (i.e. El Nido Resorts) they include activities that already get you to the island.
