Five full days of pure bliss, good vibes, breathtaking islands and adventures. Tao expedition was one of the best travel experiences I've ever had in my life. Our expedition leader Ike, Sam and the rest of the highly professional crew went the extra mile for our enjoyment and comfort all the while keeping everyone happy and the spirits high. I also appreciated the localised, socially and environmentally responsible concept which is at the heart of Tao - not to mention all the amazing food. The logistics and the organization behind the scenes are impressive. I can't wait to do it all over again!

What an amazing experience, honestly, the best five days of our lives! We had heard great things from friends and read reviews online about Tao, but nothing could prepare us for what was to come. From the initial introduction meeting in Coron the night before, where we met a few of the crew and our Tao adventurers, the Lost Boys (as they are known) were friendly, hospitable but most of all fun!

Across the four days, there was a great range of activities, from snorkelling, seeing some of the most colourful reefs and vibrant marine life, to karaoke night with the Lost Boys (which was a personal highlight and really brought the whole group closer together).

The boat was really comfortable while we were travelling between islands, and there was enough space for you to chill and read a book, and no obligation to always be with the rest of the group.

Every camp that we stayed at had the most amazing, comfortable, huts and beds with mosquito neta. Each morning, we woke up to sunrise on the beach overlooking the ocean. An added bonus was really clean toilets and great outdoor showers with hot water.

But the highlight, without a doubt, was the amazing fresh food. Every single meal was varied, innovative and delicious. Special shout out to Moxs (the head chef) and his team. He made sure that we never went hungry, even producing snacks throughout the day.

We also made close bonds with the fellow Tao group - spending 5 days with strangers can be quite daunting however the group gelled immediately, got even closer following karaoke, and have met up after the trip for drinks too!

A huge special thanks to our entire crew for making the entire experience - our leader Jun Jun, co- leaders Rocky and Gedidn, chef Moxs, captain Bonito, barman Jhon (who made sure we never went thirsty!), Darwin, AP and Pugs. An incredible group of boys who spoke wonderful English and went out of their way to make sure you had the best time. This was a trip we will never forget!

I loved every single part of our 5 day boat trip. Met some life time friends, had the most amazing experience with the crew. They were there for us 24/7 with a lot of positivity and enthousiasme.
I do think that if you are not social and want to have an isolated holiday you shouldn’t pick tao.
If you are open minded and are looking to get to know the lost boys and also other people in the group then you might have the time of your life like I did ☺️

Food was exceptional, fresh and if you catch some tuna they will serve it to you on the boat. Can’t get any fresher.

Thanks again to Dondon, Chance and Adam for taking such good care of everyone.

Unforgettable experience. Stunning beaches, food and staff.

Not sure about comments above about boozing and not suitable for over 35’s…..🤔. Certainly NOT our experience.

Highly recommended trip of a lifetime. Do not hesitate in booking!!!

Expectations were high due to all the good stories I’ve heard, but the Tao crew Chance, Dondon, and Leo and the rest made it true! It’s a unique way to explore all the natural beauty Philippines has to offer on private white beach islands and turquoise waters like in your dreams. You sleep in Tukans on the beach which was amazing, they cooked delicious fresh food every day, we played games, and Chance gave us a concert on his guitar every day! What I liked is that it was not a “booze cruise”, everyone respected an each other and had the best fun. I loved the base camp Ngey Ngey, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, and the people there were so nice ! Absolute 5 star experience.

I had an amazing experience with Tao!! I only booked 2 nights and 3 days, but I extended on the first day already. The Tao expedition makes enjoying life very easy. A special thank you to our guides, Chance, Adam & Dondon, who did an amazing job!! They were very open and treated us like family. They showed us the most stunning beaches and idyllic snorkelplaces. We were very lucky with the other crewmembers as well. They made sure everything went smoothly and they made us delicious, fresh food everyday.

5 days of living in paradise, I can't describe this unique adventure any other way. I would choose Tao again and I definitely recommend this expedition to any open minded person who wants to escape the ordinary and enjoy paradise!

I won’t ruin the surprise but remember two things:
1. The Lost Boys make the trip so be social to them, help them and get to know them.
2. This is not just another commercial enterprise but an amazing community, don’t just lie there but be pro-active and make friends.

I saw someone from my tour group posted a 3 star review. Very sad to see it. Don’t come if you are negative/anti-social.

Enjoy!

"My Tao Expedition experience in the Philippines was truly extraordinary. From sailing through the pristine waters of Palawan on a traditional boat to exploring remote and untouched islands with stunning beaches, every moment was filled with beauty and adventure. Engaging with the local communities, enjoying delicious meals made from locally sourced ingredients, and snorkeling in vibrant coral reefs were just a few of the highlights. Chance and Don Don were exceptional guides who made this trip unforgettable. I highly recommend Tao Expedition for anyone seeking a unique and immersive travel experience."

Not a trip for anyone over 35 or we were just unlucky. Rude co-passengers who monopolized the best seats on the deck every day and were only into drinking and partying. Alcohol consumption was highly encouraged from our 3 leaders, out of which the 2 aides, Don Don and Adam did 95% of the work and the main leader did not even lift his finger. The crew on the boat worked wery hard and were helpful, but the food was repetetive and the crew had better meals, different then ours. You will get a tasteless fish and watetmelon and they will get yummy adobo and mangoes. There is no timings, no schedule and utter confusion as to what happens when. No activities offered, but snorkelling and boozing. Even the crew would start drinking as early as 11 in the morning. The nature is awesome, the camps basic, but fun, but sadly there was so much more untapped potential in this trip. The base camp on El Nido is wonderful and the food is on a competely different level. But altogether, you are better of doing a bit of snorkelling and island hopping in your own arrangement.

A brilliant, authentic way to see Palawan and was well organised. Was lovely to be able to switch off completely. The food was incredible and definitely a highlight. The lost boys made the trip even more enjoyable and was lovely getting to know them - shout out to Ike, Sam boy and Aljiv. We enjoyed the simplicity of the tour, but the huts, bathrooms, the boat etc was still comfortable. Before booking, be sure that you love snorkelling, beaches and having sand everywhere for a few days! You do visit some small villages on the islands and if you can, the children may appreciate some stationery, new clothes or toys. The trip is cashless as you have a wristband, but you may want some to get snacks in small village shops.
