- Marikrisvi SQuezon City, Philippines700 contributionsJune CelebrationsJune is a month of many celebrations to my family (Wedding Anniversary. Birthday of my Son, Birthday of my husband) again as a beach lover. Decided to go to a beach in White Beach Puerto Galera. This is my 2nd time in Puerto Galera and at this month not a lot of tourist visit this place. That's why my family enjoyed the beach is not crowded is like Boracay the sand is fine and white. Place is clean, food is great.Visited June 2023Traveled with friendsWritten March 20, 2024
- ccsclwns7773Tiverton, United Kingdom1,061 contributionsLovely beach , but a few rocks to beware of.Great white sandy beach, lots of nightlife along it in the evening with bars and music, ladyboy shows and live bands. The water is warm and clean. There are shops and restaurants along the promenade that are very reasonably priced, myself and my wife took her mother , her aunt & uncle and her cousin , we spent around 3000 pesos per evening meal , which is less than £50 and included drinks. You can get there from Luzon from ferry at Batangas and it takes about 1 hour, then our hotel provided transport to the hotel , on the way back we had to pay 200 pesos per tut tut.Visited April 2024Traveled with friendsWritten April 27, 2024
- Miguel GBaguio, Philippines19 contributionsCould be betterIf you're a tourist and value your time, remove this option from your interest. The beach may be inviting but beware of sea urchins. Also, too many vendors following and offering services like massages and hair braiding. The beach is a mess due to unruly tourists as well, leaving their rubbish. Lack of infrastructure made the experience worse, from disembarking the sea vessel to the port exit of both Balatero in Puerto Galera and Batangas, leaving you walking under the sun. Bus travel from Batangas port to the NCR is also a nightmare, even if the bus been filled, it'll take the bus half an hour more to leave the port vicinity and then another stop at a terminal somewhere near the port. If given a choice, stay away from visiting the island of Puerto Galera, saves you time.Visited May 2024Traveled with familyWritten May 11, 2024
- Brian G5 contributionsWhite Beach Puerto GaleraWhite Beach is an amazing place with fantastic bars restaurants and of course a great beach. In the village itself you can great great food and drinks from Pirata bar run by English man the service is great and food is very good. Lots of European ex pats here too. If you are on the beach esplanade you have to visit Jam House opens 3/4 pm most days but the music on Fridays Saturdays and Sundays is brilliant. The food is amazing and the service brilliant. There are other bars and restos along the beach certainly plenty to choose from. There are the customary beach activities if thats your thing or you can just relax on the beach itself. You need to be aware the only to ATMs are inside Finnesse bar or behind chooks to go. There are plenty of trikes or tuk tuks to get you here from Balatero port or Galera town its self. Also whats a positive thing in my opinion about white beach is there are no girlie bars its very much a family resort. Lots of hotels and rooms to suit every budgetVisited April 2024Traveled soloWritten May 12, 2024

White Beach is a beautiful place with the whitest calmest beach to enjoy. There are a lot of Cafe restaurants to enjoy along the beach front.
Unfortunately we didn't want to return after our first visit due to the continued harassment by hawkers selling trinkets. We tried sitting on the beach enjoying the view and constantly had to fend of intruders to our peace every 5 minutes, sitting in a cafe overlooking the beach was no better.

Ever since I was little all I have wanted to do was travel. I love discovering new places and exploring them to the max. All I want to do in the future is to explore new places. I want to travel and explore, if only it was a real job. Most people might say that they were just born that way, and others say they had to find their inner explorer. If I had to choose my favorite vacation it would be swimming in different beaches , are ten times more fun for me than shopping. There is no way to explain my strong interest in adventure and travel, then that it is just who I am.
White Beach Puerto galera is one of my travel experience during that time, is the scene of many concerts and festivals organized by big corporations like San Miguel, Smart and Globe. The beach are filled with people, relaxing, walking to and fro, sunbathing, playing volleyball, riding jet skis and banana boats. At dawn, people sit at the beach to witness one of the best sunsets in the country. At night, more people come out to enjoy meals at beachfront restaurants. There are several open-air bars with “gay dancers” and serving Puerto Galera’s trademark concoction, “Mindoro Sling”. There are also many tattoo shops and souvenir shops along White Beach. There are many resorts in White Beach which offer rooms with aircon, cable TV and hot/cold shower. Although Puerto Galera is famous to tourists for its nightlife, this bountiful town has more up its sleeve. But for those who just want a quiet and less crowded beach in Puerto Galera, do check out the neighboring Aninuan Beach, Palangan Beach or the picturesque Talipanan Beach which other travel blogs raved about. But my personal favorite is the empty nameless beach on the other side of Coral Garden.

Long and featuring fine white sand, White Beach is a great place to unwind and spend the day. It is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Puerto Galera, there are plenty of hotels, bars, and restaurants to see here. Because of that, the area can be quite crowded and noisy. In addition to swimming and tanning during the day, several resorts provide water sports including jet skiing, kayaking, and banana boat rides. You can go bar hopping at night, enjoy drinks with friends while listening to live music, and see the skilled local fire dancers in action. So if you want to have fun and have a great experience this is what i can recommend you.

The shimmering sand meets the edge of the ocean, the hypnotic waves oozing the beach. Far out, you can see the line that sky and sea met. Pulsing the surface of the sea was steady and peaceful as utopia felt like paradise. The horizon seemed to be stitched with a line of silver and murmuring waves. That's how I explain with my imagination and admiration for the beauty of Mini Boracay; White Beach, Puerto Galera. In the wide and white sand, in the radiance of its beauty. In the seemingly heavenly blue water, You will really be amazed. What is done emotionally and mentally. On the other side is located the man-like castle that grabs the attention of tourists. At the beachfront, you can see the row of resorts and hotels. Here you will find hospitality and eat the extraordinary foods. You will also feel the relaxation and take advantage of the vacation leave. You will also enjoy exciting water rides including banana boat and other fun rides. Concerts, camping and team building are also often held here. And in the afternoon, at sunset, you can see lot of people taking photos. The amazing White Beach, Puerto Galera.

From wherever you are take, a tuk tuk, it costs about 4-6 euros. The beach has several nice spots with palm trees to lay under and several restaurants. I really enjoyed my time there and mind: I usually hate beaches and I cannot even swim.

Stretch your legs and walk the boardwalk or paddle on the foreshore waterline you’ll enjoy the soft white sand of White Beach and the gentle caressing waves. A beautiful outlook to the other islands adds to the gentleness of the visit. The best of all is to enjoy an on the beach massage or if you are young or young at heart have your hair braided. Enjoy one of the snacks offered by the licensed vendors or pick up a Mindanao pearl bargain.

Clean beach, not crowded, plenty of foods and drinks there. Excellent for swimming. Bring your sun screen lotion because there ar no seats or parasols to hide from the sun. The only way to hide from the sun is to have a drink or bite to eat somewhere.

The beach itself as well as the scenery is very beautiful. However there’s no shade whatsoever, so make sure to bring your sunscreen and hat with you. Vendors trying to sell their stuff to you aren’t overly aggressive but there’s a lot of them. The beach is also quite crowded with (noisy) water sport activities. All in all we were left with the feeling that something is missing for it to be a nice beach experience.

I visited Puerto Galera's White Beach Resort, and it has one of Oriental Mindoro's most opulent views. Because of the numerous water sports available there and the cleanliness of the beaches and waves, visiting the said beach was a wonderful experience. In addition, the beach in question was pretty lovely, and its hotels and restaurants were very accommodating.

Hi, is puerto galera already open for tourist? Planning to have a family outing this weekends. Do we need to bring swab test result. Thank you for your response

You need to load your car in one of the Ferrys that will take you to Puerto Galera because it is an island and there is no direct roads towards it. We left our car in one of their safe parking lots for days because it was a bit expensive to take the car with us. But to answer your question, yes you still can.

Hi, friends and I are going to galera this week, can we just buy ticekts for ferry there and does it costs around php 200 up? I need exact amount as possible. Thank you.

We took Minolo Shipping, it is PHP350 one way, inclusive of shuttle to White Beach from Muelle Port in Puerto Galera. Returning to Batangas Port it is also PHP350 from your hotel to Muelle Port by Minolo Shipping. The shuttle saves you from the hassle of looking for a ride to your hotel and back to Muelle Port.
There are other ships like Genesis, etc. but I don't know their price since when we got to Batangas Port, Minolo was the first ship to go to Puerto Galera.

Written November 7, 2018
YES The location is INCORRECT.
White beach is NORTH of Sabang along the coast about 11km from Sabang by road. I've submitted a request to correct the location

Hi! When we were there we hired a tric driver that also served as our tour guide. He took us not only in White Beach but also in Tamaraw falls and several places. As for chnging clothes, there are toilets and other amenities that you can use around the place. Just ask around and know how to mingle correctly you should het a fair deal.

Hi! We're planning to visit galera on april, I saw a room package plus breakfast in white beach resort that asked transferred payment through BDO, may I know if you tried this package for me to have an assurance that I am reserving and paying for a real room at the hotel and can you suggest other budget hotels near the white beach? thank you
Written March 10, 2018
I'm from Texas, so I made my reservations online. Since you're in the Philippines, I suggest calling the hotel directly. There are quite a lot of hotels that don't require a middle man. With no middle man, your money goes directly to the hotel. Ask for a confirmation number for your reservation. If possible, pay at the hotel when you check in. There are many hotels in the white beach area. and they're within 5-10 min walk from the water. Budget hotels don't have air conditioning and have the "tabo" toilet system (no flush toilets, just a bucket of water). If you're ok with this, bring lots of insect repellent and get your beach gear ready because the white beach at Puerto Galera is a lot of fun! Stay on the left side of the white beach in the evenings because the fire dancer(s) perform in that area. Have fun!
