I consider myself a local and have been to almost all the nooks and crevices of Puerto Galera and I can vouch to the cleanliness, safety, serenity and the untouched beauty of Aninuan Beach.
The quality of the white sand here is comparable to White beach minus the noise, the crowds and annoying vendors. Hotels and resorts are pricier than those in White beach but you get your money’s worth. The only downside is limited food choices since most of the restaurants are in White Beach.

Popular among the tourists in the Philippines is the White Beach area of Puerto Galera. Probably because of its night life, rows of restaurants and stores where you can buy souvenirs and stuffs as well as the bars where you can chill while watching gay comedians perform.

Whenever I am at Puerto Galera i always go to Aninuan Beach which is a secluded area 15minutes Tricycle ride. Yes, it has the same long white sand shoreline like the White Beach, the only difference is it has few people swimming.

Tagged as the Heart of Asia, the alluring island Puerto Galera located in Mindoro Oriental, Philippines, was once awarded as the Most Beautiful Bay in the world. Known to many, Puerto Galera is known popularly with the long shoreline nowadays called the White Beach. But more than that, Puerto Galera has a lot of hidden treasures and spots waiting for you to pay a visit and enjoy!

Puerto Galera can provide you attractive and fascinating natural landscapes and seascapes covered with verdant trees gloriously embracing the mountains covering the waterfalls. Its seascapes are vastly covered by white sands touched by clear cobalt waters and atoll of corals underneath home for wide varieties of fishes.

How to get to Aninuan:

1. If you plan to stay overnight or couple of dats, there are ferry boats from the Batangas City Port that will take you to Aninuan Beach. You just need to clearly say that you are headinf to Aninuan. July 2016 rate is 250 at an average per person one way ticket.

2. Arriving at Aninuan, there are only few cheap hostels that will offer you place to stay. There are about 3 starred hotels and you can check them via website. Checking in might be costly but for sure worth the price. If you are travelling on a budget, you can look for hostels by the road.

3. Since the only difference are the number of people swimming, i would suggest to take a day tour to Aninuan. You can get a tricycle from White Beach to Aninuan at around 100 to 120.00. There is an open place in Aninuan Shoreline where swimming is open to public. You can mention the Zobel de Ayala beach and you can just lay on the sand and chill.

4. Also from aninuan beach, you can take a trek going to Aninuan Falls. Please make sure to coordinate with any local tour guide who can assist you.

We were told that this was probably the best beach in PG.This Place was only a short walk down a hill from our accomodation Amihan Villa .

I found the beach very pleasant and clean with off white sand. The place was not crowded at all and a better option than nearby White Beach.

No vendors to pester you but there are also no dining options available here either.

It was my first time in Puerto Galera and I will definitely come back. This island is a quick escape from the noisy and stressful Manila but although it's nearer than the other place I'd been to, this island never disappoints. It's a true paradise! We stayed near the Aninuan beach which is for me the best beach in Puerto Galera. The white-ish sand and crystal blue water are mesmerizing. I really prefer this beach than the famous White beach which I found quite too much for me. I prefer quiet places and this beach is the real deal. There were times that there's only me and my partner there like it's our own private beach! No pushy sellers nor loud music etc. It's just you and the nature. I can't wait to go back!

Take your own food and drinks and enjoy some peace and quiet here. The water is great. The sand is white and soft. And there are hardly any people here. I highly recommend visiting this great beach.

Great spot that hasn't been developed at hall. Harder to find than other beaches. Get your driver to ride tricycle down track to beach. Hardly any hawkers around and pretty palm trees.

there are portions of the beach, the one closer to tamaraw beach that were rocky and it made it very difficult to walk, the one near Talipanan though was sandy, not as white and as fine as white beach but comfortable. The water was cool at first but you get used to it eventually. Perfect for those who just want to lounge around and watch the sunset.

This long stretch of white sands is a total opposite to the White Beach scene.

From White Beach, we had to cross some rock boulders to reach Aninuan Beach. Be careful if you are wearing slippers as the rocks can be very slippery. There are 2 beach resorts that fronted Aninuan Beach ie Tamaraw Beach Resort and Sunset@Aninuan Beach. They looked like a decent resorts for family to stay at.

Once we passed the 2nd resort, the beach is designed by nature. The sea water is not as appealing as in White Beach though. Not much water activities can be found there. There is a huge fenced area which i assumed to be a private property located further west of the beach. And we found a tree house at the end which summed up the entire Aninuan Beach.

This beach is almost empty, save for some locals having a family picnic. It was better than white beach If you opt for some peace and quiet. There,s an italian restaurant and small stores up the road too.
