The Plaosan Temple is a mere 6 mins drive away from the Prambahan Temple. From its architecture, characteristic of its temple top is Hinduism, while the base is Buddhism, thus at first sight i cannot figure out whether Plaosan is a Buddhist or Hindu Temple....More

This is a small temple near the Prambanan site. It is worth visiting as it is has been restored to a relatively good condition, with a number of frescoes and statues to see. Some of the other temples elsewhere are in a more ruined state,...More

Very nice and small temple. Not crowded at all! I just had to write my name in the guestbook for the entry. If you’re close to the airport just take a Grab and drive to both temples in about 10min.

Plaosan Temple was near Prambanan and we visited this temple before heading to Prambanan to catch the sunset. There were two temples with three chambers, the temples were interesting to scale and great for pictures on a sunny day.

When I first arrived here the location of the temple was rather protruding. But the view turned out to be quite interesting. Near the rice fields, the suggestion is that if you want more interesting photos in the morning and evening it will be more...More

Less popular temple in local but I found its an interesting piece nevertheless beautiful temple. The small temples at the entrance and statues on the wall of the twin temples clearly indicated the structure and architecture of the temples are an influence of Hinduism. However,...More

This temple is so under-rated compared to Prambanan nearby. Hardly any tourists around except local tourists. It is a beautiful temple, the ruins kind of added to the charm plus we were there just after sunset. Definitely hidden gem worth visiting!
