The palace once was nice, but now is in a very bad state I would say. Of course you will still see nice architecture, but the collection has almost no English explanation and is dusty and deserves more attention. I would not recommend this place...More

This is The name of the actual Presidential palace in Yogya. Here on the page somebody got confused b'cause of the sultan palace Kraton (Keraton, Royal Palace). The difference is simple: The presidential palace is not accessible and the royal ( sultan) palace is open...More

The place has visibly gone past its prime. ceiling was leaking, the ground was dirty and potholes. Sadly, even the pictures and displays are all worn out. If you have limited time, dont waste it here.

Buy a ticket and then follow the guide who will tell you all about the palace and the family of the current Sultan. I like his collection of photography books, films and even a Contax camera. Anybody who knows how to handle a Contax camera...More

I was a little disappointed as the palace open to the public as it seems just a collection of smaller buildings full of the sultans own photographs and clothes.Nothing really grand. There was one room where no photographs were allowed Nothing different from other rooms....More

It is not so much a palace, but a complex of low buildings, part of which is still in use as the residence of the current Sultan (and this part cannot be visited). There are 'palace guards’ inside, but that is a ceremonial function exerted...More
