Several times visited Mount Merapi and we could see it from different angels and do different activities. After last visit had sunrise tour and jeep driving in Kali Kuning (Yellow river), this time we tried another angel. We had a family picnic in Kali Talang....More

We left our hotel at 5am to get to the base camp of Merapi as we were advised that seeing it in the morning ensures we will get to see the top of the volcano itself. Wear warm clothing as it’s pretty cold before the...More

Merapi is your classic volcano! It is larger than life, looming over teh city below, reminding us all of our smallness and fragility. It is hard to access, unpredictable and moody. It's simply fascinating and at a very deep level makes the city of Yogya...More

My husband and I had a great day with our guide. He took us to a few stops and he took lots of great photos of us. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and learnt a lot about Mt Merapi. We met a few locals who...More

After an exhilarating tour of Borobodur, our driver/guide took us to Mt Merapi for an adventurous jeep drive. It was a fun experience. The mountain had erupted just 10 days ago. Our guide made sure that we were within safe distance, and assured us all...More

It's an active volcano. The point was brought home to us when we toured the volcano on a Tuesday, and there was an eruption on Friday. We took a 4-wheel drive tour from the base camp(?) up. Caution for your butt - it will get...More

Very beautiful scenic view of the volcano and had a fun and adventurous Jeep Tour. The Tour was great and had a great experience exploring and understanding the past eruptions.

I must say Jeep Tour/Lava Tour is a must! take at least two hours of trip and they will take you around to some historic places and get ready for some water splash at the end of the tour. it was super fun!!

I spent a couple hours on a private open top jeep tour and really enjoyed the adventure! There had been a small eruption the previous day but I am told that happens often and nothing to worry about. The mountain was just “coughing”. I was...More

We took the 90 minute mini Jeep Tour to Merapi - a little apprehensive about the rainclouds that obscured the sky through most of the day. The brightly coloured old red Jeep with a young man at the wheel bumped across the route - which...More

I think it’s not good idea with the kit 5 year ,but when you have a group only your family in 1 Jeep you can order to the driver to drive slowly, softly and don’t go to the river ,and then will be okay.
