The wall was nice, has some history and nice views. If you've been the the Xi'an city wall or the great wall. You may not be too impressed. It located right next to the Jinming temple.. so it makes it an easy 2 for 1

You can view the wall from many locations around Nanjing but this area offers excellent views of the structure and a good sense of the history

This is an OK museum, located on the wall, next to the lake.
The museum is rather small and offers some decent exhibits.
however, the museum is far from impressive after walking the amazing wall of the city.

The Wall runs alongside the Lake in Nanjing and it is well kept and clean. It is not promoted as much as it should. Close to the accommodation areas,

I found the location with a lake quite comfortable. It costs RMB 30 to enter and the walk was short but quite nice. Old canons are around.

I spent a year in Nanjing and can't believe I never visited the Nanjing City Wall during that time. I enjoyed it more than the Xi'an Old City Wall, but maybe I'm just more partial to Nanjing since I've spent more time there.

I would say an hour or so is all you need; as another reviewer said, it is just a wall. Enjoy the views of Zifeng Tower and Xuanwu Lake, while also learning some history about the Ming dynasty.

I took the subway to Gulou, then walked for about 10-15 minutes. Just take line 3 to the Jimingsi stop; it's only a short walk from there. 30 RMB ticket price for the wall.

add 9 to 10 you get 19, add 7 to 193, you get 200. This historical musuem is just like math in a way because the walls are composed with so many bricks that were established by the workers who died to build it. Visited in Nov 2012
