#Nanjing #Olympic Sports Centre (Chinese: 南京奥林匹克体育中心) is used mostly for association #football and also for athletics. It is located in Nanjing Hexi New City, covers an area of 89.6 hectares, with a total construction area of about 401,000 square meters. As the main venue for the 2014 #Summer #Youth #Olympics.
Its good place to visit.

there was no event going on when we were in nanjing, but they let us walk through the olympic center any ways. since we are both world class athletes, we enjoying checking it out and comparing it to other stadiums we have been in world wide. i would say it is as modern as some of the finest in the world, but im not sure they ever fill it to capacity for any events now.

Youth Olympics stadium is a famous place to visit in Nanjing. The 2014 youth Olympics games were held there, and the infrastructure built is still in the same condition. Daily visitors come to this site. This stadium is still in-use for indoor games.

I went here just for the sake of seeing it, so I would imagine that if you saw an event here you would have a different perspective than I. I went here and walked around the grounds and thought it was cool to check out the stadiums and arenas they have set up on the site. It is worth a nice quick walk around, but I wouldn't spend a large amount of time here if you have a long list of things on your to-do list.

I watched Linkin Park live performance last year with my friends. Nanjing Olympic Gym Center is splendid and clean. We spent a crazy night there.

My husband took our big kids for a soccer game. Getting in was a little stressful because he forgot to bring passports (I guess the locals are suppose to show their citizen's ID with their ticket), but turns out they weren't really checking. He said the stadium set up wasn't great. They got into the stadium and realized their seats were all the way on the other side and they couldn't walk through because there were blocks set up between sections. So they had to exit and walk all the way around. Another problem was the local chinese don't sit in their seats. They all just sit in which ever seats. For example, he got to their seats and had to kick people out of them. Then there was 3 people sharing two seats next to them which was affecting my daughter. So my husband asked what was going on. And they said, their assigned seats was being used by other people. My husband advise them to try to get their seats back. Which they actually listened and got up to do so, but those people also said but their seats were also taken up by other people. My husband saw a security guard bring in a group of kids (who had assigned seats together) and those seats were being used up by other people. When the security guard tried to get them to move, he got a lot of backlash insteasd. Kind of weird that people are good about their seats in movie theaters but not at a soccer game.

On non-event days, the stadium is also open for swimming and soccer. Outside of the stadium are different pocket of areas of parks. Good for running or just a walk.

I visited this stadium a years ago during Asian Youth Games. The facilities are perfect and easy to reach by public transport. When you enter this complex, you should remember the entrance therefore you don't waste your energy to find the bus stop or MRT station where you came from. There's a restaurant and some shops inside the complex of stadium (I don't know whether they're open only on the special occassions or throughout the year). There are underground food courts and mini markets near the ticket counter.
