This place I have wanted to visit since I learned it in school. It was the place of the most densily populated place in the world with something like 50'000 people per square km... Now lays a really nice and peacefull park in memory of...More

This park was once part of the notorious Kowloon Walled City. It is now a nice Chinese garden with a small historical corner dedicated to the City. A good place to escape the crowd and enjoy half a day.

This park used to be the densest residential area in Hong Kong, rich in history. Especially loved the audio video tour where you can see the situation when it was a residential area. Easy to get to from TST using bus #1.

Not very often I will visit the park. While the view is nice enough as always, would be much better if the visitors would be less.

We visited the lovely park that is now a monument to the history of the Kowloon Walled City in April 2017. The site was used by the Imperial Chinese officials as early as the 15th century. It later became a defensive fort and garrison during...More

If you're like me and interested in Kowloon Walled City and its history and demise, you can't miss this park which stands on the grounds of the old walled city. The part of the park that is directly related to the city is nestled inside...More

Tucked away in the suburbs in Kowloon is this hidden gem. It is a nice place to spend 2-3 hours taking in the history and the surroundings.

Put this in your itinerary only if you have too much time or visiting other attractions in the area. Only a small exhibition area on the history of the Kowloon Walled City. Was a bit disappointed. Maybe if we had managed to catch a guided...More

Quiet area, you wouldn't think you're still in the city centre. Gardens are full of colour (depending on time of year) lots of large bonsai to look at as well.

We walked from our hotel in Ma Tau Wai, & it took 45 minutes. It would’ve been something to see in its day, & I’d’ve loved to have met the people who once lived here, bet they could tell a tale or two. It’s a...More

There are two sections there - the Walled City section and a small park. I don't recall seeing anyone riding bicycles there. Perhaps for the small park, children can ride their bicycles.
