Beautiful, quiet serene place located in the middle of the city. Small zoo with many exhibits. Great way to relax from shopping and sight seeing.

It is a rarity to find a Zoo and a Botanical Garden located 500m uphill from Wyndham Street right in the heart of Central Hong Kong. In the Zoo, there are many rare Puff-Cheeked Gibbon housed inside several large cages where they swing around happily,...More

Really nice, well maintained and clean gardens, and a number of animals such as birds, lemurs, turtles, chimps etc. Park employees sometimes do feedings also so you can see a bit more of the animals in action. It is a fair hike up a very...More

The gardens are lovely and well laid out. The zoo part I was not as keen. I have issues with animals in captivity, and the monkeys appeared to be quite distressed. This didn't help with tourists encouraging the cries/screams of the monkeys

Accidentally stumbled across this park while returning from a trip to Victoria Peak. It was a pleasant surprise with lovely gardens and the sweetest monkeys throughout. It is a clean park with toilets. Free entry and easily spend an hour or so walking around.

Stumbled upon this place while roaming around Hong Kong. Very charming little place with a lot of wild life! We saw a ton of cheeky monkeys.

I liked this garden because it's quite large with many animal and herbal species but still, it's free of charge. I had some time to kill so it was perfect for a nice stroll and I've seen some animals I haven't seen in Europe before....More

A gem in the middle of the city. Monkeys, turtles, flowers, birds, trees....you get the idea. We only scratched the surface, but so glad we did.

When people think of Hong Kong, most imagine movies
with famous skyscrapers dominating the skyline. The
area widely known as Central is the major financial
hub and entertainment district, which truly lives up
to the saying, “work hard, play hard.” Bars stay open
late into the night and there just happens to be a
street party every weekend. Although everything seems
to be operating at lightning speed, Central is full of

I am sorry to tell you it is not a real zoo as you would expect. however, it is free so you could still go there to have a look. It won't be too interesting in my mind.

No fee. Not a big zoo. If going from Admiralty (MRT) up, up, up, for a heart and lung challenge, think twice! You had better be in shape and ready for a confusing and poorly marked walk up many, many steps, steep grades... More
