DON'T go to shop 17a in that mall, he's cocky, unhelpful, rarely open and will do anything to get your money, avoid at all costs.

Golden Computer Arcade is a large two floor shopping venue lined with numerous stalls and small businesses dealing in computers, accessories, gear, webcams, copy machines, video game consoles, equipment and the likes.
Stalls are open from approximately 10am to late in the evening and the place can be chaotically crowded on weekends and evenings when the IT crowd and tech fans flock in search of special deals and bargains. During midday visits, it isn't that bad and easy to browse around.
Note: There is a separate Golden Computer Centre just next to the Golden Computer Arcade. These are actually two different venues but are similarly setup and have a lot of the same products on offer in the respective stalls.

I live in Hong Kong, and have done for several years. I would not recommend visiting Golden Computer Arcade if you suffer from agoraphobia. It is claustrophobic, and a sensory overload at close quarters. There is barely room for two people to pass each other in the tight corridors, and the layout can feel confusing and maze-like. It is easy to enter via one door during daylight hours, get turned about whilst shopping, and emerge from a different door in darkness, the sun having set whilst you were inside shopping.
Maybe you're into getting up close and personal with fellow tech geeks, but it's an experience I could happily live without. However, having said that, it is a good collection of small local businesses selling just about anything to do with personal computers, tablets, gaming devices and peripherals. Prices are not generally super low, but are competitive. Staff are good, with some very happy to provide some technical advice, although I am always worried about taking up too much hard working sales staff time because it is a busy place. The best thing about golden Computer Arcade is the location; the neighbourhood is lively and filled with other small shops and stalls, selling anything from second hand electric drills to audiophile hi-fi equipment. Check out the nearby Dragon Centre, for example.
Worth noting that there is also a Golden Computer Accessories in Mong Kok and the Oriental Shopping Centre in Wan Chai that offer similar experiences. Wan Chai caters more for gamers and consoles whereas Mong Kok is suited for businesses and tech-savvy buyers looking for PC components.

Golden Computer Arcade is a must in Hong Kong. When you enter the indoor maze of shopping you get into an other world. You will find whatever you can imagine of computer gadgets and bits and pieces. It is worth a visit even if you are not a geek - simply to feel the buzz. Can be very well combined with the street markets in the area.

Spent a happy couple of hours wandering around two floors and not so up to date and the latest computers and accompanying peripherals. Unfortunately my wife only let me free after removing all cash and other methods of payment or otherwise our hour would have gain let another computer and other bits and pieces. Not as big a saving as was lead to believe but certainly a saving on UK prices.

The place has a look and feel of being a bargain basement place, but if you compare with Amazon, the prices are really just on par, not cheaper.
Not Worth the trouble of going all the way here for cheap deals.

It is still a nice and convenient place to get IT equipment mainly because there are so many outlets housed within the same building. You much compare prices as it can vary greatly from shop to shop. I also came across a shop that sold GoPro accessories. I saw a GoPro stick for approx £7 when I spent about £40 for the official version. I suppose you don’t know if it is any good until you have used it, but at a fraction of the cost, it maybe worth a gamble. If you are in you IT stuff, it is worth a visit.

You can buy everything computer related here, it’s crowded and packed with products. Also loads of games shops, well worth a visit even if just for a look.

Nice place to see the new computer and gaming trends. But as for me, in mainland China you could find better offers, so if you have a chinese visa then you could better to go shopping in Shenzhen. I liked this area, all around you can find many little restaurants of any kind of kitchen. Also there are many clothing shops. So if you want to see a real living area then this place is good enough for this. There are no skyscrapers and wide roads, just a multi-national crowd and a smell of living :-)

Hi! We're coming to HK for a visit next week. I'm looking to get an iPad Pro (the new 10.5 version) and am wondering if Golden Computer Arcade sells them/Apple products? If not and you're local, where might you suggest I go? Thanks in advance!!

Go to an Apple store! No advantage in buying Apple products anywhere else. No better prices. There are few Apple stores in Hong kong
