We had just over half a day in Hong Kong at the end of our cruise . It was so interesting. Jacky picked 6 of us up, together with all of our luggage. He firstly took us to Victoria Harbour - there he explained the history and culture, which gave us context for the rest of the day. Jacky then took us to the financial district, fisherman’s village, Kowloon market, etc - we packed a lot in. Jacky was so knowledgeable, calm, relaxed , explaining things to us all the time. Then he took us to the airport for our flight. The perfect guide, and we definitely want to return to Hong Kong for longer next time!

Had an excellent tour. The guide and owner Jackie is well versed in the history, the culture and the practical aspects of life in Macau and took us to spots "off the beaten track" as well as the must go sites like the Venetian. Had an enjoyable, unhurried time and the convenience of door stop pick up, crossing on the Hongkong-Zhuhai-Macau bridge is hard to beat. Recommend a full day for this.

Jacky was responsive to email queries, and kindly customized the tour to do a marathon Macau + Night food tour with us. Comfortable vehicles, avoided super crowded areas, found yummy food (the best Portuguese egg tarts in Macau!) and patiently entertained every toilet request (very important with young kids!). All objectives met.

We began our tour with Jacky Wong from our Hotel in Hong Kong. Prompt pick up and a very informative drive to Macau. He got us through the immigration process quickly and we began our tour. We went to the highest point of the old fort to see incredible views of the old city and where our walking tour would take us. We experienced the very early days of a small fishing and trading village all the way to the modern casinos. The Portuguese influence on the Chinese culture was/is pervasive. Historic buildings and the many churches provided insight to the Macau of today. Beautiful and varied architecture set the tone for a memorable experience and insight into the cultures. There were both temples and churches on our tour. We ended up at the most modern casinos in Macau (many even larger than Las Vegas)! We went through several casinos, and they have the same glitz and glamour as Vegas. I was surprised at how crowded the tables were. Wear your good walking shoes. We covered about 18000 steps during our walk. The Portuguese / Chinese fusion lunch was exceptional and the egg custard was perfect. Great tour, great guide. We will definitely book another tour with "This is Asia" and Jacky on the next trip to Hong Kong.

Spending 4 hours with Kiyo was the perfect way to enjoy an 8 hour layover in Hong Kong. He met me in the airport and planned an afternoon/evening based on my interests. He was fun and friendly and I learned so much. Ate amazing food, saw so many things and came away with an experience I shall never forget.

We booked this after a recommendation from another guide who was fully booked for our day. It turned out to be a great experience.
Our guide, Pearline and her driver (I forget his name) did and absolutely amazing job showing us around the Hong Kong we wanted to see. Their planning and execution of the itinerary was spot on. They knew where and when to pick up and drop off and were totally professional. Pearline never seemed to stop talking and smiling the whole day and made the tour just great fun. Not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for. Thank you Jacky. 👍🏼

We could not have imagined a better and more comprehensive tour of Hong Kong with the expert commentary provided by owner/operator Jacky Wong. Jacky has a fascinatingly interesting way of conveying Hong Kong’s history providing both visits to actual sites in a sequential manner historically and painting a vivid mental image of the evolution of this cosmopolitan city where East meets west.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 hour tour with expert tour guide Jacky Wong, one of 4 days of tours we experienced with him. We started in the unique Tai O fishing village, which certainly proved to be the highlight of the day. We saw how fishermen as they retired placed their boats onto stilts above the water, insulated them and sided them with tin, and then turned them into their homes. From there we took a 10-minute drive to the Giant Buddha which was designed in the 1970’s and built in the 1990’s sitting proudly atop a hill overlooking a beautiful landscape. Our concerns of walking up and down the 252 steps to reach the Giant Buddha, the management of the site actually provided a car and driver to take us to the base of the Buddha! It made what could have been a physically challenging day a real pleasure! We would never have had this fantastic experience and seen so much in 5 hours if we had not decided to take the private tour with Jacky Wong!

Frustrating tour, not what I expected. The tour company was helpful in altering the time to fit my schedule but it was my understanding that they would get tickets for various attractions in advance. They did not. I was told later by the guide that we would have needed WhatsAp to do that. We don’t use such apps. So we were not able to wait in the long lines and could only see the attractions in passing. No ferris wheel, no cable car. The traffic was unusually bad and it started raining. We were asked by the guide where we wanted to go but we had previously emailed that info in hopes that the route could be figured out in advance. The guide took us first to Chinatown and we did enjoy shopping. The guide stayed with the car so we had to find our way back. We were brought to Garden by the Bay but did not have adequate time nor help with finding our way. We had to buy a ticket first and only had 20 minutes for a 45 minute attraction. It was difficult finding our guide and car in the rain and crowds. Then we were brought to Little India although we had not expressed any interest in it. We were dropped off and so we wondered around, choosing not to shop for the features silks and Indian clothing. Our guide was nowhere to be seen so we had to wait at the drop off place, in the rain. The guide talked a lot about te culture and history of Singapore.

Ashley was a superb guide, so knowledgeable about the history and culture of Japan and we learned a lot from her that day. A lovely walk through the fishing village of Tai O with a delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Then a fascinating trip to Big Buddha and the museum inside which Ashley brought to life with her explanation of the paintings and information about Chinese characters and language history. She was the perfect guide and we felt privileged to have spent the day with her.
