What a surprise to see all these dragons in different vivid colours. Difficult to imagine how it was built and who had worked on it.

The nine dragon screen is a great piece to see in Beihai Park in Beijing. It's about 7 meters high and 30+ meters long. The screen has historical, cultural and artistic significance. The screen was built over 250 years ago of thousands of coloured tiles....More

This dragon screen in Behai Park was constructed in 1756 during the Qing Dynasty. This glazed-tile screen has 2 identical sides each with nine dragons. Beautiful and a magnificent work of art, the colours are still vivid. Worth a visit if in the park.

Check it out if your in Beihai Park (I think). I have been told by locals that it is special because it has dragons on both sides of the screen. I wouldn't make a special trip to see this though.

This wonder is found inside the Beihai Park. The 40-meter high white stupa was built in 1651 as testament of the monarchy's faithful belief in Buddhism . It is amazing in real life - seeing it closely. The screen is built with colored glazed-tiles and...More

Had seen this in the guide book but its even more amazing in real life - go see it. The colours have stayed true to the original and the 3D dragons are stunning.
