Quite beautiful as is the entire park. An imposing structure but make the park grand. Must check this out when visiting. Try to pick a day when not too crowded. Well worth the time and effort to visit.

We visited the Summer Palace and it was HOT! Nice walk along the lake, crowded, but very interesting. Go over to the island and walk the bridge to admire the architecture. Cute dragon boats if you want to ride.

We really enjoyed the tour of the Summer Palace. Such a beautiful place and refreshing to see the man-made lake there.

Beautiful and peaceful spot. Nirvana! Each building of Summer Palace has its own beauty, but this one has an aura of peace.

If you are in decent health, this site has a lovely panoramic view from the top. The whole complex is recommended, especially in cooler spring temps.
