There is a lot of hype about this place. But apart from the logistics (2 hours drive + 90 mins walk up to the top of the mountain where the glass UFO is located), the real downside is the crowds. It won't be a gentle...More

We went to the glass platform and Scenic Area in a rental car which cost us ¥750 for the day. The entrance fee of ¥78 is fine if you are also prepared to pay for the ¥200 for the cable car return. The walking route...More

The area is about 2 hours from Beijing and the drive through the countryside is enjoyable. The glass bottom scenic area is amazing but it is an effort to get there. The chair lift is 200RMB return and then there are about another 30 minutes...More

Its a very nice place. Definitely a place of delight for people who love hikings. Highly recommended. Enjoy the caves, paintings and various carvings that are dotted all around the place.

Recommended for thrill seekers and hitch-hikers. ShiLingXia is not a very big place but it will give you enough challenge for a weekend with your friends or family. Enjoy all the carvings and paintings on your way to the top. There is also a small...More

Visited this scenic spot for the second time in a year. Summer is great and lots of water but a lot of people. Never go in Winter as the entrance fee of 78RMB is not justified. There is no water up the mountain side in Winter...More

I would imagine it would be open BUT it would be an extremely difficult walk to the top if it was wet or snowing! I personally wouldn’t waste a day going there. There are plenty of other things to see in Beijing!
