Center of information about life in nubia(nature and culture)it is an ethno-biological museum which consists of three parts1-traditional nubian house 2- museum shows fauna in nubia(Animals,reptiles,birds,fish,insects all stuffed)rocks and stones.3-the roof terrace where drinks,lunch,quick meals are served.also lectures about nubia ,the nile and elephantine are given over looking the gardens.Animalia also organise birdwatching tour in the nile held by professional guides MOHAMMED SOBHY and his Daughter Fatma.

I'm sure Lord Kitchener would turn in his grave if he were to see the state of this island, so many broken trees, poor maintenance and beggars bothering you. Once left alone it had a serene quality but still needs attention.More

Very nice impressions on nubian life. Fatma explained in very good english both flora and fauna on Elephantine Island and gave an idea about nubian life.We enjoyed the visit

the right place to visit if u want to understand the Nubian culture from a native , and u do not have the tolerance for big museums with non-stop guides.

Fatimah (the guide) was so knowledgeable! We learned so much and enjoyed our visit. The walk to the place was really nice, and Animalia was great! Must see!
