I really liked this place, it was a very local experience. From what I saw, it would appear these guys do a lot of made to order sales. I thought there would be more items for sale that were on display. I say that because when I went into what was like an office to pay, there were more items on shelves, also for sale. Everything is Egyptian LE. I definitely recommend a visit especially if you are wanting to make a purchase, knowing that it is hand made on the premises and even be able to see the people create their work.

A very nice center that contains a wide variety of traditional crafts. You actually see the people working in front of you. There is also a shop that you can purchase from. The place can be better maintained.

arrived here by uber from down town last Saturday, upon entering the security waved us through. after getting out of the car I was then told the place is closed, no one really spoke English but from what I gather they don't open on Friday or Saturday. I will try again one day, however this place is outside of town a little so ensure its open before heading down there

This craft center is location two minute drive from the National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation. There are many rooms with crafts men and women working on all the traditional crafts in Egypt. It is amazing to see the tiny details of their work and the amount of labour that goes into producing beautiful crafts. I was introduced to all the crafts and there were no other visitors there at the time. There is a lovely shop to browse and purchase the crafts at the end.

I went there during their festival of copper artworks festival. it was focused on copper & brass crafts. But there are many shops for various kinds of Egypt's traditional arts & crafts; Tapestry, Leather goods, Batik Garments, Silver Jewelry, Patch work, Handmade textiles,... etc.
It's just around the corner from Suspended Church, Bin Ezra Synagogue, Amr Ibn Al 3ass Mosque, Coptic Museum, Babylon Fortress & Many Historic churches. In the center of Religious Complex Region where you can visit antiquities for all the holy religions in the same area.
It's also near to what is so called the pottery village & Darb 18 Modern Art center.
A day around this place is going though historical eras of Egypt.
