About
If you're in the mood for shopping, eating, and entertainment, head to Starfield COEX Mall in Seoul's Gangnam district. As the largest underground shopping mall in Asia, it has over 300 shops and restaurants spread across four floors. Catch a movie at the cinema, marvel at over 40,000 sea creatures at the aquarium, or snap a photo in front of the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves at the iconic Starfield library. Getting there is easy, as the mall is connected to two subway stations. Otherwise, you can join a guided tour of Gangnam to explore more sights including the nearby Bongeunsa Temple. – Tripadvisor

It really is right smack in the middle of a mall and people could bring in drinks (Starbucks, % Arabica are next to it) and relax with a book. My 5yo and I enjoyed it very much as she found some lovely children books in English.

This is one of Seoul's earliest shopping malls and is still a popular hangout place among locals. The underground arcade is huge with major brands readily available. It is so large that even library and aquarium can be found inside. Shopaholics can easily spend a couple hours here.

There is very unusual central area with a library: bookshelves are located from floor till the top. Also this mall is close to expo centre, so you can find some interesting exhibitions. There are plenty of shops and restaurants - you can definitely spend there the whole day.

I really enjoyed visiting Starfield COEX Mall a lot. Even though it was only limited time for my friend and I there but both of us could feel the vibes of reading. At the time we went there, we almost lost. There was a renovation and we went into the wrong building... he he. I think the signage to go there should be clearer. Anyway, we both were so excited and want to go there again when we will visit South Korea especially Seoul.

It's just a big shopping mall and quite a lot of varieties. The library looks great and is a good photo spot. You can spend half a day there if you like shopping.

Walking under the Babylonian Talmud, the beautiful Starfield Library was on the basement level of COEX Convention Center and mall. Soaring close to three levels, we saw beautiful stores and the largest art fair in the world, London-based “Frieze” (a.k.a. 21st Korean international Art Festival)—on until early next week in COEX exhibit hall (from 11:00). It was 3 stops from Seoul station/KTX with Noryangjin transfer-point to the new line 9. (Crossing the aisle toward VHS Medical to get off a dozen stops later just past Seongjeongneung at Bongeunsa station.) We ate hearty salads with latte and tasty scones at Blossom beside PJ Chang’s at Blossom; and near the food court, took escalators past lockers up to the Grand Ballroom to see art exhibits. Viking’s Wharf is a seafood restaurant inside COEX. In another direction, following COEX’s impressive Namsa underground mall and library, take the blue running track beside Arc’teryx, outside toward McDonalds/Hummus for Green line 2 @Samseong station. It’s easy to reach City Hall’s lower Tourist Info. Desk or hopping “Hongdae” Hongik University station and Dongdaemun (historical Culture Park a few stops) via Blue line—heading toward Namdaemun (Hoehyeon door 5)/esp. Myeongdong’s Lotte Department Store for more sightseeing stops along subway lines 1-9.

Shopping heaven. Maybe because I come from a country/city where the malls are pretty bad but this was on another level! Would reccomend planning a trip here if you are interested in the Korean shopping experience.
