We drove around the whole palace without seeing much but still, the kids loved to watch the crocodiles in front of the entrance and my son named the road beside "the zombie apocalypse road"...

Houphouet Boigny's legacy is an amazing one. The home of this former president leaves one speechless when you consider all the thinking that went into what he did. However, visits are by special arrangement because the family wants privacy. Would be a great tourist site...More

Not much to see appart from the crocodile and the stories surrounding them. The Hotel President in Yamoussoukro is a nice place to stay. The Basilique is a must see, especially the weeping virgin, and climb up to the higher levels, beautiful view of the...More

You cannot go in the palace. We looked over the lake at the sacred crocs. They look menacing and even more so when they start coming towards you thinking they will soon be fed.

Unfortunately the guy who fed the crocodiles for many years was eaten by them recently..still worth a look

Was not expecting this type of Presidential residence nowadays... Crocodiles Feeding was a Wow Show... A must see if in Ivory Coast.

Former president built this palace at his birth place and surrounded it with lakes crocodile infested. Besides Cathedral this is the only thing worth mentioning in this capital.
