Due to Military coup in Myanmar, we reject dictatorship. So we want Democracy, we need justice. All religion people protect, save and care our communities. So people fight military coup, all religion people protect, save and care their communities. Now military coup was feet down to the people. Now people's park is not yet open, will start to resume after tge situation is stable.

It was okay - perhaps didn't get to see the best of it - but struggled to find anything except for some random lakeside model salad vegetables. If you are hoping to get a bit steamy in the park, note that it is against the park rules, as shown by the sign. Also thought it best not to swim in the lake either, going by another sign.

I loved the elephants fountain by day and by night. The view to Shwedagon Pagoda is wonderful, by day and by night. We also were treated with an amazing display of lit up trees, animals, fish, space ships!

I’m a big fan of Urban parks, a crowded city needs a park for residents to jog, walk or just relax with friends or family. I walked over to Peoples Park after visiting the Shwedagon pagoda, and was surprised how big the park is. Seemed to be mainly locals relaxing and enjoying the pleasant weather in December.
To be fair, the park is not on a scale of Hyde Park, Central Park or parks in some European cities, but for SEAsian city it was very nice.
If you are in this area definitely worth a visit.

This park is used by the locals for their early morning walks and a breath of fresh air. One portion of the park has a free entrance for the locals and joggers and there is an entrance fee of 300 kyats which is very reasonable. There is an use and pay toilet which costs about 200 kyats. One can get a nice view of swedagon pagoda from this garden.

Good place to be there before 7 pm. Go for a walk or enjoy the Shwedagon Pagoda from different view. People always because of a small air plane which is resting in that park . 300 MMK for sticker . Just need to buy the stickers at one of the entrances. No need to line up .

We stopped by this park with our guide during a walking tour of this area of Yangon. If you are in the area, it is worth a quick visit for some nice photos.

Are dogs allowed in the park? We are moving to Yangon and want to get an apartment near somewhere where we can walk our two dogs.

The park is quite large, which gives you space to practically play whatever you wish. You will just need to set up some temporary (and I would imagine, non restrictive) boundaries to determine the area you wish to use. Friendly games of Soccer is frequently played here. Of course, because the park is so popular with locals, finding a space might also be a little difficult in itself.
