It's a shame the tombs are closed off to the public other than distant views from the edge of wlth park but worth a short visit.

Visually stunning, but untouchable. The whole ground takes up about two blocks, but it is all fenced off, so all you can do is look and take photos from afar.

The Royal Tombs are a spectacle and great to photograph. The size of them makes them dwarf other cemeterys.

We could not get near to these tombs they are in a big field and the bus stops just to let you see them. They are only a short distance from the wharf so you do not need to be on a tour to see...More

We unexpectedly diverted from cyclonic Fiji to Tonga on our cruise to Hawaii so calling in to Nuku'alofa was a real plus for us. Tonga itself was barely recovering after its own devastating cyclone a month earlier but tourism is easily the island nation's best...More

The tombs are in a field that you cannot enter - but you can get a photo with a tele lens. Not that mush else to see so worth a quick look.

Definitely interesting but you need a local to give you a rundown of the tombs, otherwise you're merely looking at . . . what you see

Not an exciting attraction. One sign explaining the royals entombed but locked gates. Not welcoming.

You are not allowed real close but worth a picture or two. What's more interesting is all the burial sites along the road/s we traveled. Maybe just two or three earthed mounds. Even on the back roads with took. Several sites had large banners with...More
