Easily spent about three hours wandering around, wouldn't have minded having a heap more money to buy some of the local collectibles as they are really quite impressive. Lots of fresh fruit and Vegies too.

It’s a pretty big market with lots of local produce. A real gem if you are a fan of talo. But under cover there’s also a smallish but pretty good selection of local handicrafts. There’s no bartering here but plenty of friendly banter which is...More

Definitely a place to walk to. All surrounding streets are choka full of vehicles. Only a small variety of foods after the cyclone but that was to be expected. Plenty of enormous root vegetables!!

Large market with local grown fruits, vegetables, jewelry, locally made crafts and clothing. Food court with large select to choose from. It is covered but you will still feel the humidity.

This is the local gathering point with the stall holders selling most items. Fruit and vegetables are of goid quality and they have a large variety. They all sell household goods and handicrafts and souvenirs. I bought quite a few gifts for friends here.

This is a great market where you can see and get just about anything you need for life on Tonga. Don't expect it to be like anything you have at home because the Tongans do it in their own style. Wandering through the markets can...More

Covered market selling fruits, veges and souvenirs. We bought some lovely handcrafted wooden souvenirs for a good price.

I had a great time wandering around the little booths here. There's lots of stuff to buy and it's cheaper than in Vava'u. Lots of carved goods like necklaces, swordfish bills, and figures. There are whale drawings and baskets. No one is pushy or confrontational....More

I was told this is the place to go if you want cheap vegetables and souvenirs. They were not wrong. There is a nice hustle and bustle about the markets, with an even split of fresh food one side and all the tourist souvenirs the...More

This market is undercover so this is good for the heat. It is primarily a fruit and vegetable market, but still worth a wander. Some souvenirs are available.
