For us, this was the best museum in Noumea (though the city museum is a close second). It had the clearest explanation of the war in the Pacific we have ever seen, and it covered all the different aspects and all the different countries that...More

Not a big museum, but a lot of items about the Second World War, in the Pacific area. In a special building, like the American "hangar"... the time to remember about the one million of GI's they were here. A nice staff too... to discover...More

We visited on a Monday - as many of the other museums in Noumea were closed. It is well worth the visit, with fascinating displays showing what happened in New Caledonia during WWII.

The Museum is well laid out and informative. The hand held devices tell you all about the displays in English. A good mix of photos, relics and video. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and this would be a good activity for a rainy day.

We visited this little slice of New Caledonian history and it was excellent. There was just enough information in English and if you are a history buff you would work it out anyway. Highly recommend a visit!

I loved my visit to this small museum to the north of town. There was just enough information in English and the displays are well presented. I wished there was more to it.

This museum was presented exceptionally well. Full of relics and information on the 2nd world war in the islands! Cheap entry, worth an hour or 2

Loved it. The first bit (about NC soldiers overseas) is less interesting, but I really got into it once it started to focus on what happened in NC. My visit was an over an hour and a half and I could have stayed longer. Very...More
