Great place to watch the sunset. Good snorkelling. Nice beach to have a picnic at during the daytime.

It was a gorgeous atmosphere at the beach, some lovely little restaurants and shops around too. It was quiet when I visited in the morning, the locals were very friendly!

This is the best beach I've seen in the South Pacific. Not far from downtown Noumea and you can get there on the hop on hop off bus. There are heaps of cafes and restaurants as well. The beach is Free to all!

Baie does Citrons is the premier swimming beach of Nouméa and the northernmost area is a great place for snorkeling.

We were staying in Anse Vata but most evenings we would walk down to The Bay of Lemons to eat, a large variety of cheap, high quality restaurants and very friendly people.

Seems to be the main tourist area and is more modern than Anse Vata. Plenty of food and drink options, Nice beach promenade and beach to watch the people walk by, yachts sail past and the sun set with a cool drink

We went for a swim after lunch. The water was fine & had a platoon that the kids swam out to to jump off. There was lots of shade & grass to sit on to watch the world go by. It was very pleasant.

This is the main tourist strip in the area. Easy to park and access to the coral beach so good. Not much to see under the water, a number of sea stars. Safe and clean. Expensive to get a drink at the local bar.

Bus lines 10 and 11 go from Centre Ville (the town centre) to Baie des Citrons (Lemon Bay). Bus stops are marked by white pillars on the side of the road. Sometimes there is a shelter too, but not always. The bus routes... More
